Abstract:
It is intended to provide a three-dimensional scaffolds appropriate for culturing animal cells such as chondrocytes and fibroblasts. These three-dimensional scaffolds which comprise a chitosan/acidic biopolymers hybrid fibers composed of chitosan or its salts in the inside of the fiber and complexes of chitosan with biodegradable acidic biopolymers coating the fiber surface, are made of fibers capable of retaining their shapes after allowing to stand Dulbecco's modified Eagle's medium (DMEM) containing 10% of FBS (fetal bovine serum) at room temperature for 2 weeks.
Abstract:
An automobile door that is significantly easy to fabricate, enhanced in ease of assembling door components, and reduced in the number of parts to be mounted. The door comprises an outer panel and an inner panel. The inner panel is composed of a main panel made of metal and a resin-molded sub panel formed integrally with the main panel. The inner panel is formed with a mount on which door functional parts to be mounted on the door are mounted. The inner panel is also formed integrally with electrically connecting means for connecting these door functional parts with each other.
Abstract:
A circuit and its connecting structure assembly provided in a motorcar door includes an inner unit being able to joint to a door panel, and an arm rest unit attached on the inner unit. The inner unit has an inner panel provided with a circuit, a plurality of auxiliary components connected to the circuit, and an integrated connector section. The arm rest unit includes a connector portion corresponding to the integrated connector section, a control circuit board connected to the connector portion and to a switch section for the auxiliary components, a circuit provided in the arm rest body and connected to the control circuit board, and an optional switch connected to the circuit. In the optional switches connected to the circuit provided in the arm rest unit, software replacement of the control circuit board can change the functions of the optional switches.
Abstract:
A novel composition for regenerating a cartilage has been demanded, which can achieve a good effect of regenerating a hyaline cartilage that is a nearly normal cartilage without requiring the use of any transplanted cell. The present invention provides a composition for regenerating a cartilage, wherein (a) a monovalent metal salt of low endotoxin alginic acid and (b) SDF-1 are used in combination.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a composition for regenerating cartilage or treating a cartilage disease containing a monovalent metal salt of alginic acid for which the endotoxin level thereof has been lowered to an extent that does not substantially induce inflammation or fever. As a result, it is possible to provide a composition for regenerating cartilage that improves cartilage regenerative action and ease of application to a cartilage injury lesion, and a composition for treating a cartilage disease, which has the effects of protecting cartilage from mechanical irritation, inhibiting degenerative changes in cartilage caused by wear and inflammation, repairing a cartilage injury lesion, and inhibiting inflammation and pain of joint tissue.
Abstract:
The present invention provides compositions and methods for treating a joint disease containing as an active ingredient thereof a monovalent metal salt of alginic acid for which the endotoxin level thereof has been lowered to an extent that does not substantially induce inflammation or fever. As a result, it is possible to provide a composition for treating a joint disease which has the effects of protecting cartilage from mechanical irritation, inhibiting degenerative changes in cartilage caused by wear and inflammation, repairing cartilage injuries, suppressing inflammation and pain of joint tissue, inhibiting degeneration of synovial tissue, and inhibiting osteochondral destruction.
Abstract:
Provided is a novel method of diagnosing rheumatoid arthritis. Based on the quantitative expression profile of sugar chain expression amount in the serum (whole serum, HAP or LAP), the relevancy thereof to rheumatoid arthritis is analyzed. As a result, a sugar chain and a glycoprotein showing a change depending on the onset of rheumatoid arthritis are found out and thus a serum sugar chain and a glycoprotein usable as a novel biomarker are provided.

Abstract:
A fish rearing system having a water circulation system comprising: a trapping section including a particle trap 2 for capturing residual feed and fish feces contained in the water, a sediment trap 6 for accumulating a sediment in a rearing tank and separating the sediment from the water, a residual feed detecting sensor 5 interposed in a pipe 4 communicating with the particle trap 2 and the sediment trap 6, and a micro-screen filter 7; a denitrification device 12 for denitrifying a nitrogen compound dissolved and contained in the water; a bubble surfacing device 11 for generating bubbles by supplying air and/or ozone and removing surface active substances contained in the water by capturing the bubbles; an ultraviolet disinfection device 13 for disinfecting the circulating rearing water; an ammonium treatment section consisting of a immersion treatment device 15 and a non-immersion treatment device 14 and having a function of decomposing ammonium contained in the water; and an aeration device 21 for dissolving oxygen into the water; wherein the denitrification device 12 is disposed at the upstream of the bubble surfacing device 11 and includes a bypass pipe 10. Thus, the fish rearing system capable of performing water quality control at a low cost can be obtained by a rational combination of devices.
