Abstract:
A single search system that returns relevant search results for a user search query by identifying user intent and context implied therein. The inventive system supports POI and address searches initiated from a single search box only. Search query data is input in to a single search box on a single search client to initiate a search for an arbitrary piece of data. Meta-data concerning a nature of a search is not provided to the single search system. A search servlet on a single search server uses an ordered series of filter methods to progressively extract specific aspects of user intent from a freeform search query, and accumulate intent information within a context shared by all filters. The single search system determines a data corpus to search based on context provided in a user search query. Relevant search results are returned to the single search client in a search response.

A resistive random access memory device, a method for manufacturing the resistive random access memory device, and a method for operating the resistive random access memory device are disclosed. The resistive random access memory device includes a resistive switching memory element including two electrodes and a layer of variable-resistance material between the two electrodes, wherein the layer of variable-resistance material exhibits bipolar resistive switching behavior; and a Schottky diode including a metal layer and a p-doped semiconductor layer which contact each other, wherein the metal layer of the Schottky diode is coupled to one of the two electrodes of the resistive switching memory element. The present disclosure provides the resistive random access memory device operating in bipolar resistive switching scheme.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a resistive-switching device capable of implementing multiary addition operation and a method for implementing multiary addition operation using the resistive-switching device. The resistive-switching device has a plurality of resistance values each corresponding to a respective data value stored by the resistive-switching device and ranging from a high resistance value to a low resistance value. The data value stored by the resistive-switching device is increased by ‘1’ successively with a series of set pulses having a same pulse width and a same voltage amplitude being applied thereto. The data value stored by the resistive-switching device is set to ‘0’ with a reset pulse being applied thereto, and meanwhile a data value stored by a higher-bit resistive-switching device is increased by ‘1’ with a set pulse being applied thereto. In this way, multiary addition operation is implemented. The operation of the resistive-switching device can implement data storage and the multiary addition operation simultaneously, and thus substantially simplifies the circuit structure. As a result, the data storage can be integrated with calculation.
Abstract:
A neuron device includes a bottom electrode, a top electrode, and a layer of metal oxide variable resistance material sandwiched between the bottom electrode and the top electrode, in which the neuron device is switched to a normal state upon application of reset pulse, and is switched to an excitation state upon application of stimulus pulses. The neuron device has a comprehensive response to different amplitude, different width of a stimulus voltage pulse and different number of a sequence of stimulus pulses, and provides functionalities of a weighting section and a computing section. The neuron device has a simple structure, excellent scalability, quick speed, low operation voltage, and is compatible with the conventional silicon-based CMOS fabrication process, and thus suitable for mass production. The neuron device is capable of performing many biological functions and complex logic operations.
Abstract:
Ranking documents based on a series of web graphs collected over time is provided. A ranking system provides multiple transition probability distributions representing different snapshots or times. Each transition probability distribution represents a probability of transitioning from one document to another document within a collection of documents using a link of the document. The ranking system determines a stationary probability distribution for each snapshot based on the transition probability distributions for that snapshot and the stationary probability distribution of the previous snapshot. The stationary probability distributions represent a ranking of the documents over time.
Abstract:
An anti-spam technique for protecting search engine ranking is based on mining search engine optimization (SEO) forums. The anti-spam technique collects webpages such as SEO forum posts from a list of suspect spam websites, and extracts suspicious link exchange URLs and corresponding link formation from the collected webpages. A search engine ranking penalty is then applied to the suspicious link exchange URLs. The penalty is at least partially determined by the link information associated with the respective suspicious link exchange URL. To detect more suspicious link exchange URLs, the technique may propagate one or more levels from a seed set of suspicious link exchange URLs generated by mining SEO forums.
Abstract:
A calculate importance system calculates the global importance of a web page based on a “mean hitting time.” Hitting time of a target web page is a measure of the minimum number of transitions needed to land on the target web page. Mean hitting time of a target web page is an average number of such transitions for all possible starting web pages. The calculate importance system calculates a global importance score for a web page based on the reciprocal of a mean hitting time. A search engine may rank web pages of a search result based on a combination of relevance of the web pages to the search request and global importance of the web pages based on a global hitting time.
Abstract:
A method and system for high-order co-clustering of objects of heterogeneous types is provided. A clustering system co-clusters objects of heterogeneous types based on joint distributions for objects of non-central types and objects of a central type. The clustering system uses an iterative approach to co-clustering the objects of the various types. The clustering system divides the co-clustering into a sub-problem, for each non-central type (e.g., first type and second type), of co-clustering objects of that non-central type and objects of the central type based on the joint distribution for that non-central type. After the co-clustering is completed, the clustering system clusters objects of the central type based on the clusters of the objects of the non-central types identified during co-clustering. The clustering system repeats the iterations until the clusters of objects of the central type converge on a solution.
