摘要:
The present disclosure relates to reticulated elastomeric matrices, and more particularly to at least partially degradable elastomeric elements that are compressible and exhibit resilience in their recovery and that can be employed in diverse applications including, without limitation, biological implantation, especially in humans.

The invention relates to the repair of spinal annular defects. An apparatus comprises a scaffold comprised of a biodurable, resiliently compressible, elastomeric reticulated composition to obliterate spinal/vertabral connective tissue defects, to obliterate spinal-annular nuclear tissue defects, and for spinal annulo-nucleoplasty regeneration. The implant comprises an at least partially cylindrical member.

An aneurysm treatment device for in situ treatment of aneurysms comprises an occlusion device having a flexible, longitudinally extending elastomeric matrix member that assumes a non-linear shape to conformally fill a targeted vascular site. The occlusion device has one or more longitudinally extending filaments that can be varied to impart properties to the occlusion device.
摘要:
This invention relates to biodurable, reticulated elastomeric matrices that are resiliently-compressible, their manufacture and uses including uses for implantable devices into or for topical treatment of patients, such as humans and other animals, for therapeutic, nutritional, or other useful purposes.

A system for training an athlete during a training period includes a digital system that is programmed to: receive a plurality of inputs regarding a current state of the athlete and a training goal for the athlete; employ an expert system to generate a training prescription for the athlete; and generate a plurality of control outputs that correspond to the listing of training activities. An exercise apparatus includes at least one activity device that is configured to: facilitate the athlete performing a predetermined exercise; receive the control output from the digital system and to adjust an exercise parameter so as to correspond to the training parameter indicated by the control output; and generate an electronic result output indicative of use by the athlete of the activity device wherein the result output is transmitted to the digital system.

A device for treating or preventing a vascular condition at a mammalian vascular site, comprises an implant formed from a compressible, reticulated elastomeric matrix in a shape conducive to delivery through a delivery instrument. One or more implants are delivered in a compressed state to the mammmalian vascular site where each implant recovers substantially to its uncompressed state following deployment from a delivery instrument. In a preferred embodiment the matrix comprises cross-linked polycarbonate polyurethane-urea or cross-linked polycarbonate polyurea-urethane. In another preferred embodiment the matrix comprises a cross-linked polycarbonate polyurethane. In a yet further embodiment, the matrix comprises thermoplastic polycarbonate polyurethane or thermoplastic polycarbonate polyurethane-urea.
摘要:
An aneurysm treatment device for in situ treatment of aneurysms comprises a collapsible member having a first shape wherein the first shape is an expanded geometric configuration, and a second shape, wherein the second shape is a collapsed configuration that is loadable into a catheter. The aneurysm treatment device is capable or returning to the first shape in the sac of an aneurysm upon deployment, where it occludes the aneurysm. In another embodiment an occlusion device comprises a flexible, longitudinally extending elastomeric matrix member that assumes a non-linear shape to conformally fill a targeted vascular site.
