    摘要: Methods of joining members, forming molded portions with members, securing inserts with members, and joined members, such as for a frame or a frame for a fenestration unit, formed thereby, are disclosed. One embodiment of the method includes placing a first member with a first cavity in a joining position, placing a second member proximate the first cavity of the first member in the joining position, injecting a resin into the first cavity, allowing the resin to solidify at least partially to join the first member and second member to form a joined member, and removing the joined member from the joining position. Optionally, the joined member can be formed in a fixture, can include molded portions formed by the resin, and/or can include inserts held in place by the resin. Further, members without cavities can form a cavity that can receive the resin.

    摘要: A planter for the mechanized planting of sea oats in beach or other difficult planting areas. The planter includes a calibrator that automates the release of sea oat plants through various release tubes as the planter moves over a chosen planting area. The calibrator controls the release of each plant at re-selected distances. Growth agent is introduced through ancillary mechanisms either through the release tubes or just behind each tube. A plow in front of each release tube creates a furrow into which each plant is deposited, and a series of grates are strategically positioned to control the reflow of planting soil back into each furrow after release and to then smooth any remaining soil adjacent the filled in furrow. The planter is towed behind a tractor through nominal hitches, and a chair and planting support rack is provided for an operator positioned in the center of the planter.

    摘要: A pumped loop cooling system is provided to cool a hollow winding of a transformer utilizing a two phase vaporizable dielectric refrigerant. A liquid refrigerant pump circulates the refrigerant into a transformer and through a copper tube winding of the transformer where the refrigerant at least partially vaporizes in removing heat from the transformer. The refrigerant is then circulated to a condenser and then back to the pump.

    摘要: A containment and protection system for wells in the oil and gas industry may solve the problem of crude oil, salt water and chemicals from absorbing into the ground and contaminating the ground, water and animals. The system may provide safety for landowners, workers and livestock. The system may attach around a wellhead and flowline. The system may be dug into the ground so that it is below the surface casing and then sealed and secured thereto. A lid of the system may close overtop of the well to make it secure and leak proof. The lid may also be insulated to hold in warmth, thereby reducing the need to insulate the wellhead. The system may provide safeguards that may shut down the pump driver or close valves to stop flow from the well and flowline under certain conditions.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for increasing the circulating airflow of induced-draft, gas-fired multi-stage furnaces without creating conditions that result in cold spot corrosion therein. Control circuitry is provided to selectably increase the circulating airflow of the furnace during low stage operation. The control circuitry is arranged so that increases in the magnitude of the circulating airflow of the furnace are accompanied by predetermined increases in the magnitude of the combustion airflow of the furnace. The magnitudes of the circulating and combustion airflows are so related to one another that the temperature at the output of the heat exchanger is maintained at a value which is approximately constant, and which is high enough to assure that water cannot condense thereon. The control circuitry may include a relay or relay-like device that is connected to prevent the high stage solenoid of the gas valve from becoming actuated during low stage operation.

    摘要: An improved, induced-draft, gas-fired furnace which is adapted to operate at any of a high, medium and low firing rate. A pressure sensing assembly generates differential pressure signals that vary in accordance with the pressure across a heat exchanger assembly. A gas flow control assembly is responsive to the differential pressure signals, and to signals received from the furnace control circuit, to supply gas to the furnace at any of its three different firing rates, the lowest of those said firing rates corresponding to a gas-air mixture which cannot be ignited. The furnace control circuit applies to the circulating air blower, and to the inducer blower, speed controls signals that are so related to one another that the fuel utilization efficiency of the furnace is at least as great during steady state operation at its low firing rate as during steady state operation at its medium firing rate.

Two longitudinal grooves extend along either side of the blade mount and are defined by the two plate members and the spacer member. The sunflower harvesting attachment is fastenably inserted in the crop-gathering channel between two adjacent crop dividers or deck plates with the cutting edge of blade disposed in the direction of operationally movement of the implement head so that as the stalks of the sunflowers enter the crop-gathering channel they are severed and the sunflower portion is fed through the implement header and combine into a holding bin.

    摘要: The identification tag is in the form of a flexible plastic disc having a fastening portion in the shape of an inverted T, the stem of the T extending from a peripheral portion of the disc. A U-shaped strip of metal serves as an inserting tool and is arranged to straddle the disc, a first arm terminating in a square end and the second arm being longer than the first arm and terminating in a point. The arrangement is such that the inverted T-shape can be flexed towards an upright position so that the square end of the first arm can be received between the stem and cross portion of the T with the second arm holding the underside of the second cross portion of the T and stem in their flexed positions. A cow's ear is then pierced by the point on the second arm, the first arm urging the T-shape through the cut opening. Withdrawal of the U-shaped arms then permits the T-shape to flex back to its normal position to secure the tag to the cow's ear.
