摘要: A mount apparatus for securing a license plate to a vehicle. The mount apparatus includes a bracket that has a back side for facing the vehicle and a front side for being engaged by the license plate. At least one fastener extends through the bracket for connecting the bracket to the vehicle. At least one energy absorption device receives the fastener and engages and extends away from the back side of the bracket for spacing the bracket and the license plate from the vehicle to absorb energy transferred to the bracket during an impact with the license plate to dissipate the amount of energy transferred from the bracket to the vehicle during the impact.

摘要: A paint can shelf attaches to a sliding extension ladder fly section. The shelf includes two parallel arms which reach through hollow rungs of the sliding extension ladder fly section, whereby the shelf is raised and lowered with the sliding extension ladder fly section. Slides are attached to the arms on each side of the sliding extension ladder fly section and include low friction surfaces facing the fixed extension ladder section. The slides allow somewhat loose tolerances in the engagement of the arms with the ladder preventing the ladder sections from binding when the ladder is extended or lowered.

摘要: Systems, methods and devices are described for controlling a vehicle electrical generator. A regulator for controlling a generator in response to an input signal received from a control module suitably includes a discriminator module, a processing module and a switching circuit. The discriminator determines whether the regulator is operating in voltage or torque control mode. If the input signal is a voltage control, the output generator produces a modulation signal to produce a desired voltage between two battery terminals. If the input signal is a torque control, the output generator produces one or more modulation signals (e.g. pulse width modulation signals) to control the torque of the generator. The modulation signals are applied across a field coil or other controllable element of the generator by a switching circuit that applies positive and/or negative voltage from the battery terminals as appropriate.

摘要: A system for concentrating gas, using the concentrated gas to pump liquid, and recycling the gas and liquid is disclosed. The system comprises a body of liquid, a down pipe in fluid communication with the body of liquid, a gas injection apparatus for introducing gas into the liquid that passes through the down pipe, a separator for separating compressed gas from the liquid, and a gas-liquid recycle loop. The down pipe and the gas injection apparatus are structured and arranged to compress the gas. The gas-liquid recycle loop comprises a compressed gas storage vessel containing the separated gas, a reservoir containing liquid separated from the compressed gas, and a gas-liquid pump. The gas-liquid pump has a gas inlet in communication with the gas storage vessel, and a fluid inlet in communication with the reservoir. The gas-liquid pump is structured and arranged for pumping the liquid back to the body of liquid and delivering the gas to the gas injection apparatus. A turbine in fluid communication with the liquid that passes through the down pipe can be optionally included. A second loop system comprising a second body of liquid, a second down pipe in fluid communication with the second body of liquid, and a second gas-liquid pump is also disclosed. 摘要: This invention relates to a reproducible system for the production of stable, genetically transformed maize cells, and to methods of selecting cells that have been transformed. One method of selection disclosed employs the Streptomyces bar gene introduced by microprojectile bombardment into embryogenic maize cells which were grown in suspension cultures, followed by exposure to the herbicide bialaphos. The methods of achieving stablefs transformation disclosed herein include tissue culture methods and media, methods for the bombardment of recipient cells with the desired transforming DNA, and methods of growing fertile plants from the transformed cells. This invention also relates to the transformed cells and seeds and to the fertile plants grown from the transformed cells and to their pollen.
