    摘要: A gauge wheel (1) for use in controlling the depth of a furrow formed by at least one planting member of cultivation equipment includes a hub member (5) having a central hub and an outer peripheral portion (9); and a resilient coil member (3). The resilient coil member (3) includes a plurality of coil windings (17) which extend closely adjacent to the outer peripheral portion (9) of the hub member (5) and which define an outer periphery of the gauge wheel (1). The coil member (3) is connected at or adjacent one end thereof to the hub member (5). In use, the resilient coil member engages the soil on a side of the furrow and controls the depth by which the at least one planting member cuts into the soil to form the furrow. There is also provided a coulter gauge wheel which includes a coulter disc and at least one gauge wheel as described above.

This is accomplished by attaching an inflatable boattail (i.e. drag reducer) to the aft face or rear end of a vehicle or trailer, thus delaying the flow separation to a point further downstream and mitigating the intensity of the negative pressure on the aft face.

    摘要: The present disclosure provides an airstream deflector fairing comprising a front or fore end having a leading edge attached to an undercarriage of a wheeled vehicle. The fairing further includes a rear or aft end and a lower bottom portion of the fairing includes a panel facing the ground at an angle which in turn directs an airstream passing thereunder downwardly and outwardly relative to the undercarriage and substantially at an area below a trailing axle downstream from the fairing. The lower bottom panel includes an angle of declination relative to the undercarriage from about 12 degrees to about 24 degrees.

    摘要: A sidewall passivation layer is deposited on an etched feature in a semiconductor substrate with a hydrocarbon deposition gas by introducing H2, determining certain mixture percentages for the hydrocarbon gas/H2 mix at which the etch rate for the substrate peaks, the etch rate begins to rise from a generally steady state, and/or the etch rate falls to zero, and then maintaining the mixture percentage within a selected range. Where the hydrocarbon gas/H2 mix is maintained at a percentage between the steady-state etch rate percentage and the peak etch rate percentage, then relatively high ion energies are used. Where the hydrocarbon gas/H2 mix is maintained at a percentage between the peak etch rate percentage and the percentage where the etch rate falls to zero, then relatively low ion energies are used. High aspect-ratio features in a semiconductor substrate can be produced by performing alternating etching and depositing a passivation layer on the substrate, where the deposition is performed according to the above-described deposition process.
