摘要： A laundry washing machine and method of operating same for the purpose of automatically determining a soil level of a laundry load from two turbidity readings taken before a washing cycle commences, such as during a pre-wash, filling phase. The machine is configured to detect a load size, add a first amount of water and take a first turbidity reading. A first dose of detergent is then added, a second amount of water added and the wetted load is gently tumbled/agitated before taking a second turbidity reading. A value based upon a ratio of the turbidity readings can determine the soil level of the load in order to choose a wash-related parameter, such as how much detergent to use for the subsequent complete wash cycle and/or the duration thereof.

摘要： A refrigeration cabinet assembly for a refrigeration appliance (1) comprises an insulated cabinet (20) having five closed faces and an open front face providing access to an interior of the cabinet. A torsionally stiff structure fixed to one of the five closed faces (23) or a structure (31) is added to one of the five closed faces (23) so that together with that closed face a torsionally stiff structure results. The torsional stiffness of the assembly is thereby increased beyond that of the cabinet alone so that the insulated cabinet has an improved ability to resist twisting.

摘要： A washing machine such as a dishwashing machine, preferably of the drawer-style or table-top style, or a laundry washing machine, the washing machine having at least one low-height wash liquid conduit connecting the outlet of a sump region of a washing tub to a wash pump. The at least one low-height conduit having a transverse cross-section that is substantially oblong. In one aspect, the surface of a heating unit forms a surface of a low-height conduit. In another aspect, the sump is provided with multiple outlets. In another aspect, a cover plate is provided for covering a section of a washing tub base and the at least one low-height conduit is formed between the base of the washing tub and the cover plate by a combination thereof. In another aspect, a pump cap component is located in the washing tub, the pump cap component having upper and lower spaced walls and at least one connecting wall between the upper and lower spaced walls, the connecting wall(s) arranged so as to form a closed shape when viewed from above, the closed shape including a wash pump housing volume for an impeller of the wash pump.

A clutch (38) is selectively operable to engage the gears in a first mode to connect an input shaft (25) to drive at least a first output shaft (15) without speed reduction and, in a second mode, to drive the first output shaft at a controlled and reduced speed in one direction while simultaneously driving a second output shaft (18) at a second controlled and reduced speed the opposite rotational direction. The first gearbox output shaft (15) and the outer casing (29) are permanently rotationally fixed together in both first and second modes.

The described motor has a stator core including an annular ring with an inner diameter between 120 mm and 250 mm, a radial width between 5 mm and 15 mm, and 24 or 27 stator poles projecting outward from the annular ring a distance of between 15 mm and 40 mm. Each stator pole is associated with one of three phase windings. A rotor for the motor has inwardly facing permanent magnet poles whereby the ratio of rotor poles to stator poles is 4:3.

摘要： A BLDC motor for driving a cross flow fan in an air-conditioning application has an external rotor and an internal stator. The stator is a salient pole stator with insulated pole teeth and conductor coils. The inner diameter of the stator supports a single bearing. An electronic PCBA for control of the BLDC motor is optionally attached to the stator, all of which is encapsulated in a thermoset resin. The rotor comprises permanent magnet component(s) and a rotor frame. The rotor frame includes a stub axle that engages with the bearing element and features to provide torsional or rotational compliance between the rotor magnets and the fan. A level of compliance is provided between the bearing element and the stator to allow for angular misalignment between the rotational axis of the fan and the stator.

摘要： A vibration isolator suitable for isolating and/or dampening vibrations generated in a vibrating machinery component such as a motor or pump so as to minimise the unwanted effects (such as audible secondary sounds) of those vibrations. The isolator may be installed in a home appliance such as a laundry washing machine and may be a separate, unitary component installed between a motor/pump and the structure of the laundry machine or may be installed between a mounting bracket of the motor/pump and the laundry machine. Alternatively, the isolator may be integrally formed with a pump/motor mounting bracket, on upper and/or lower surfaces of a mounting flange. The isolator is preferably formed from a substantially incompressible material and in one preferred embodiment has a washer-like form with a central opening at least partially surrounded by a tubular ridge with a plurality of radial projections extending outwardly and/or inwardly from outer/inner surface(s) of the tubular ridge.
