摘要: A motor includes a stator, a rotor, and a first bearing. A housing of the stator has a top wall, a bottom wall opposite, a side wall and a first opening in the top wall. A rotating shaft of the rotor has a first magnetic unit having a first outer surface. The first outer surface includes first and second magnetic pole surfaces alternately arranged. The first and second magnetic pole surfaces have different magnetic poles. The first bearing having a first groove is disposed in the first opening. The first magnetic unit is located in the first groove having a first inner surface facing the first outer surface. The first inner surface includes third and fourth magnetic pole surfaces alternately arranged. The third and fourth magnetic pole surfaces have different magnetic pole. The first and third as well as second and fourth magnetic pole surfaces have the same magnetic poles.

An inner surface of the wind tunnel portion and the rotor fan face each other in the radial direction. An upper end portion of the inner surface of the wind tunnel portion and an outer surface of the bearing holding portion face each other in the radial direction.

摘要: An electric machine comprise a first carrier having an array of electromagnetic elements and a second carrier having electromagnetic elements defining magnetic poles, the second carrier being arranged to move relative to the first carrier. An airgap is provided between the first carrier and the second carrier. The electromagnetic elements of the first carrier include posts, with slots between the posts, one or more electric conductors in each slot, the posts of the first carrier having a post height in mm. The first carrier and the second carrier together define a size of the electric machine. The magnetic poles having a pole pitch in mm. The size of the motor, pole pitch and post height are selected to fall within a region in a space defined by size, pole pitch and post height that provides a benefit in terms of force or torque per weight per excitation level.

摘要: A magnet assembly for a linear motor includes a cover member having weak magnetic properties, which covers one or more magnet plates, and a fixing mechanism for positioning the end parts 14c of the cover member directly above permanent magnets and detachably fixing the cover member to the magnet plate. The cover member has a first surface part covering a surface of the magnet plate which faces an armature and second surface parts continuous from the first surface part and covering side parts of the magnet plate. Furthermore, the fixing mechanism is provided on the second surface parts. Through the use of this magnet assembly for a linear motor, it is possible to minimize a rise of the cover member from the magnet plate without deteriorating workability at the time of installation or replacement of the cover member.

摘要: An electric motor includes a case, a stator having stator windings, a rotor having a rotor shaft, and at least one main rotor bearing coupling the rotor shaft to the case. Common mode charge builds up on the rotor due to imbalances of the stator. The at least one main rotor bearing has a first electrical resistance between the rotor shaft and the case. The electric motor further includes a rotor discharge bearing coupling the rotor shaft to the case. The rotor discharge bearing has a second electrical resistance between the rotor shaft and the case that is less than the first electrical resistance, causing the common mode charge to discharge through the rotor discharge bearing. In a differing embodiment, a rotor discharge brush coupled between the case and the rotor shaft along the longitudinal axis of the rotor shaft discharges the common mode charge.

The present invention utilizes more coils and magnets then the prior art in similar size enclosure so as to maximize the amount of electrical energy generated.
