    摘要: Embodiments of the claimed subject matter provide a method and apparatus for virtual sectorization using an active antenna array. Embodiments of the apparatus include a transmitter for providing signals to an active antenna array. The signals cause the active antenna array to transmit a first reference signal to a first sector indicated to user equipment within the first sector by a sector identifier. The signals also cause the active antenna array to transmit a plurality of second reference signals into a corresponding plurality of second virtual sectors that overlap the first sector. The apparatus also includes a scheduler for scheduling transmission to user equipment based on feedback generated by the user equipment using the first reference signal or the second reference signals.

The RACH preamble detection algorithm uses the peak detection of the time domain correlation function through frequency domain processing.
