    摘要: A light emitting device and a projection system adopting same. The light emitting device comprises a coherent source generating coherent light, a diffusing element, and a light guide part. The diffusing element includes a first surface and a second surface opposite to each other. The diffusing element disperses the coherent light to generate incoherent light. The light guide part is provided on the side of the first surface of the diffusing element and guides the coherent light from the coherent source onto the first surface to form a first light path, guides a part of incoherent light from the first surface through the first light path, guides the remaining incoherent light through a second path, and separates the first and second light paths. The luminous flux of the incoherent light emitting through the first light path is less than that of the incoherent light emitting through the second light path.

This light source can effectively reduce the cost and achieve a better heat dissipation effect and is especially suitable for a projection device.

    摘要: A light source device uses a wavelength down conversion material for absorbing an excitation light and generating a converted light, and a color filter for filtering the converted light to generate a different color light as output. The wavelength conversion material is a yellow or green phosphor which absorbs blue or UV light and generates a yellow or green converted light, which has a sufficiently wide spectrum to cover some of the red color region. The color filter only allows the red component of the converted light to be output. This system is more energy efficient than using a red phosphor. This light source may be implemented as a moving phosphor wheel having multiple segments, one of which being the yellow or green phosphor with the corresponding color filter, the other segments being used to generate other colored lights such as green and blue lights.

    摘要: A light source device includes a LED light source or a wavelength conversion material having a near Lambertian light emitting surface. The light source device includes a light recycling system to reflect small-angle lights (lights closer to the normal direction of the light emitting surface) back to the light source, and a collection system for collecting and outputting large-angle lights (lights farther away from the normal direction). The lights reflected by the light recycling system is scattered by the emitting surface in all directions, where the large-angle scattered lights are collected by the light collection system and the small-angle scattered light is reflected by the light recycling system again. A second excitation light source without wavelength conversion material or a second light source with its own wavelength conversion material may be provided, and the second light is directed to the light emitting surface by appropriate optical components.

    摘要: A light source includes two excitation light sources generating two respective excitation lights, a filter, and a wavelength conversion material. The second excitation light has a peak wavelength shorter than that of the first excitation light. The transmittance curves of the filter are dependent on the input angle. The first and second excitation lights are inputted to the filter at angles smaller than a first threshold angle, and angles between the first and a third threshold angle, respectively. Both excitation lights pass through the filter to excite the wavelength conversion material, which generates a converted light but reflects some of the excitation lights. Part of the reflected first excitation light reaches the filter at input angles greater than a second threshold angle and is reflected by the filter back to the wavelength conversion material for recycling. The third and second threshold angles are greater than the first threshold angle.

    摘要: An illumination devices using excitation light and a wavelength conversion material to generated converted light for illumination, where the wavelength conversion material is excited by multiple excitation lights from both sides to achieve increased brightness. The excitation lights incident on the two sides of the wavelength conversion material may have the same color or different colors. Light separation structures are provided on both sides of the wavelength conversion material to separate the excitation light and the converted light. Light separation may be based on color difference or etendue difference of the excitation light and converted light. In one particular example, wavelength conversion material is formed on a surface of an LED which acts as the first excitation light source, and a second excitation light is delivered through a light separation structure onto the other side of the wavelength conversion material.
