    摘要: A golf course bunker drainage system has been developed that is a modular structure taking the form of a plurality of porous bunker paver blocks formed of material exhibiting vertical and horizontal infiltration rates at least the same as bunker sand. The plurality of porous bunker paver blocks is disposed as a boundary layer between a bunker subsoil bottom surface and overlying bunker sand, allowing rainwater to drain into the subsoil, with excess rainwater directed away from the bunker sand. The use of bunker paver blocks also maintains the integrity of the bunker shape and prevents movement of sand and other materials along steeply sloping bunker sidewalls.

    摘要: A rodent bait system for use with a vehicle to prevent rodents from entering an interior of the vehicle includes a base assembly having tubular members coupled together by connecting joints, the base assembly being disposed on a ground surface such that the tubular members and connecting joints conform around a tire of the vehicle, the tubular members having at least one entryway for permitting a rodent to enter the base assembly, a housing assembly coupled to a tee coupling of the base assembly, a pair of rods coupled to an interior wall of the tee coupling, and a bait member disposed within the housing assembly and supported by the pair of rods. The rodent enters the entryway of the base assembly and is directed along an interior path defined by any number of the tubular members and connecting joints to permit the rodent access to the bait member.

    摘要: In one example of exchanging medical imaging data between computer systems, input to execute a computer software application to exchange data with a server in a computer session is received while the computer executes another computer software application to exchange data with another server. In response to receiving the input, the computer software application is executed to provide multiple functionalities, one of which is a functionality to provide additional data to the server system using a mobile computer. In response to detecting the selection of the functionality to provide additional data to the server using the mobile computer, an identifier that identifies the computer session in which the data is being exchanged between the computer and the server is displayed at the computer. Data can be received using the mobile computer by scanning the identifier.

    摘要: A method for preparing hydro/organo gelators from disaccharide sugars by biocatalysis and their use in enzyme-triggered drug delivery. Controlled delivery of an anti-inflammatory, chemopreventive drug is achieved by an enzyme-triggered drug release mechanism via degradation of encapsulated hydrogels. The hydro- and organo-gelators are synthesized in high yields from renewable resources by using a regioselective enzyme catalysis and a known chemopreventive and anti-inflammatory drug, curcumin, is encapsulated in the gel matrix and released by enzyme triggered delivery. The release of the drug occurs at the physiological temperature and control of the drug release rate is achieved by manipulating the enzyme concentration and temperature. The by-products formed after the gel degradation clearly demonstrated the site specificity of degradation of the gelator by enzyme catalysis. The present invention has applications in developing cost effective, controlled drug delivery vehicles from renewable resources, with a potential impact on pharmaceutical research and molecular design and delivery strategies.

    摘要: A method of treating waste water is disclosed which comprises placing a porous container such as a mesh bag containing a gelatinous culture of vegetative bacteria into waste water. The gelatinous culture dissolves over time and releases the bacteria contained therein. In some embodiments, the porous container may be reclaimed at any time. Treatment with the method eliminates a substantial portion of organic waste found in waste water and reduces or eliminates the need for used to eliminate organic waste build up in waste water facilities.
