摘要: A spacer for separating bones of a joint, the spacer includes a first endplate configured to engage a first bone of the joint; a second endplate configured to engage a second bone of the joint; tissue engaging projections, wherein the tissue engaging projections are moveable from a retracted position to a deployed position; and an actuation subassembly that extends between the first endplate and the second endplate, wherein the actuation subassembly comprise a drive nut, a drive screw coupled to the drive nut, and a cam frame coupled to the drive screw, wherein the cam frame is disposed between the first endplate and the second endplate to engage the tissue engaging projections.

摘要: Tools for positioning an implant into the sacroiliac joint. A directional cannula includes a main body having a bore that receives the implant. A cut-out, allowing access to the joint, is formed in a leading end of the main body. A pair of parallel prongs extend from the leading end of the main body in transversely spaced apart relation to one another. A drill guide has a main body of rectangular transverse cross-section and a cylindrical head formed integrally with the main body. A transverse width-reducing step is formed in the main body near its distal end. First and second bores are formed in the cylindrical head and in the main body. Both bores are eccentric relative to the drill guide longitudinal axis of symmetry. The drill guide is rotated 180° after first and second drilling operations, prior to third and fourth drilling operations.

摘要: An inserter connects to an implant which has two rotatable actuators for adjusting two different parameters of the insert. The inserter has a handle and a frame extending from the handle. A hollow tube is supported by the frame and has an end that can be connected and disconnected from the implant when the tube is rotated. A stem is passed through the tube, and another stem is supported by the frame. Each of the stems has an end that is connectable to an actuator of the implant, and an opposite end connectable to a tool driver. When the tool driver rotates a stem connected to the implant, a parameter of the implant is changed. The stems can be removed for cleaning or for replacement with a different type of stem. The two parameters can be a height of different sides of the implant.

The locking mechanism may be disposed within the cavity of the handle and may be movable between a projected position and a retracted position. The implant removal tool may include a first end and a second end. The second end may form a locking interface element. The implant removal tool may be selectively engageable with the connection interface via an engagement and disengagement between the locking mechanism and the locking interface element.

摘要: An implant localization device includes a coupler and a positioning system. The coupler is configured to removably engage an implant component to fix the positioning system in space relative to the implant component. The positioning system is in communication with a centralized computing system, whereby, due to the fixed spatial relationship between the positioning system and the implant component, via the coupler, and determinable changes in movement relative to a registered starting point, the centralized computing system is able to calculate a real-time position and orientation of the implant component. The centralized computing system is configured to synthesize data from a joint templating software program, a CAD software program, and the positioning system to provide real-time positional and orientation data to assist with extraction and placement of the implant component. Robotics and reference markers may be used to further automate and/or enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the system.
