    摘要: An evaporative fluid cooling apparatus includes a cooling housing, at least two fluid coils, an air movement apparatus, and one or more spray apparatuses. The cooling housing defines a cooling chamber with an air housing input and an air housing output. The fluid coils are positioned in and extend across at least a portion of the cooling chamber in a spaced apart stacked arrangement. One of the fluid coils is positioned closer to the air housing output and has a first fluid input configured to be coupled to a fluid return from one or more air handler devices and a first fluid output coupled to a second fluid input to the other fluid coil. The other fluid coil is positioned closer to the air housing input and has a second fluid output configured to be coupled to a fluid supply to the air handler devices.

    摘要: An air handler apparatus includes at least one heat exchanger device with a cooling fluid region separated from a temperature transfer fluid region, an evaporator device comprising an evaporator housing and at least one evaporator coil, and a pump. The cooling fluid region has a cooling fluid input and a cooling fluid output and the temperature transfer fluid region has a temperature transfer fluid input and a temperature transfer fluid output. The evaporator housing defines an air passage having an air input and an air output. The evaporator coil has an evaporator coil input coupled to the temperature transfer fluid output and an evaporator output coupled to temperature transfer fluid input of the temperature transfer fluid region in the heat exchanger device. The pump is coupled to the temperature transfer fluid region in the heat exchanger device to pump temperature transfer fluid between the temperature transfer fluid region and the evaporator coil when activated.

    摘要: A method of deploying space-saving, high-density modular data pods is disclosed. The method includes installing a plurality of modular data pods in proximity to one another, each data pod including a fluid and electrical circuit section in fluidic and electrical communication with the modular data pod; and coupling a plurality of the fluid and electrical circuit sections in series with each other to form a fluid and electrical circuit having a first end and a second end. A modular data center includes a central cooling device coupled to a central cooling fluid circuit. The central cooling device supports at least a portion of the cooling requirements of the chain of modular data pods. Adjacent common fluid and electrical circuit sections form a common fluid and electrical circuit that connects to the central cooling system.

    摘要: A space-saving, high-density modular data center and an energy-efficient cooling system for a modular data center are disclosed. The modular data center includes a first cooling circuit including a primary cooling device and a plurality of modular data pods. Each modular data pod includes a plurality of servers, a heat exchange member coupled to the first cooling circuit and a second cooling circuit coupled to the heat exchange member and configured to cool the plurality of servers, the second cooling circuit including a secondary cooling device configured to cool fluid flowing through the second cooling circuit. Each modular data pod also includes an auxiliary enclosure containing at least a portion of a distributed mechanical cooling system, which is configured to trim the cooling performed by a central free-cooling system.

    摘要: An apparatus for the low energy vaporization of oxidizing agents, such as hydrogen peroxide and peracetic acid, relate to an apparatus comprising a storage tank containing a liquid oxidizing agent or solution, a vaporizer operatively connected to the storage tank for receiving the liquid through a flow control valve and vaporizing the liquid oxidizing agent or solution, a vessel having a vacuum applied thereto with the vessel being operatively connected to the vaporizer so that a vacuum is also applied thereto, and a pressure sensor in said vessel for detecting the partial vapor pressure of the oxidizing agent. A microprocessor is programmed to receive a signal from the vessel pressure sensor and to close the flow control valve upon the vessel reaching a predetermined pressure level so as to prevent condensation of the oxidizing agent and the vessel. Through one or more admissions of the vaporized oxidizing agent or solution, the vessel itself as well as various articles located in the vessel such as medical and surgical instruments are sterilized.
