    摘要: An idle switch is provided to respond to release of an accelerator pedal of a motor vehicle, for producing an idle signal. A large increment of the engine speed after the production of the idle signal is detected and an engine speed increase signal is produced. The increment is compared with a predetermined value and an immediate cutoff signal is produced when the increment is larger than the predetermined value. In response to the immediate cutoff signal fuel supply is immediately cut.

    摘要: A system for controlling an electromagnetic clutch for a motor vehicle at a transient state of a driving condition of the motor vehicle. An actual engagement rate (actual engagement ratio is obtained in dependency on speeds of a drive member and a driven member of the clutch. A desired engagement rate (desired engagement ratio) of the clutch is provided in accordance with conditions of the transient state and driving conditions. Clutch current is controlled so as to converge the actual engagement rate to the desired engagement rate, allowing the clutch to slip in dependency on the transient state conditions.

    摘要: A control system for a motor vehicle provided with a continuously variable transmission. The transmission has a transmission ratio control valve having ports and a spool for controlling the transmission ratio. A throttle position sensor is provided for detecting the load on an engine and for deciding the transmission ratio in accordance with the load. Abnormality of the throttle position sensor is detected by comparing a first load signal immediately after starting of the engine with a subsequent load signal. When difference between the first load signal and the subsequent load signal is smaller than a predetermined value, a fail-safe signal is produced for maintaining the transmission ratio at a moderate value.

The transmission has a drive pulley, a driven pulley, a transmission ratio control valve having ports and a spool, and a hydraulic circuit for supplying oil to the transmission ratio control valve so as to control the transmission ratio. When a speed sensor of one of the pulleys fails to properly sense the speed of the pulley, the transmission ratio control valve is operated by fail-safe operation so as to maintain the ratio transmission to a proper value.

    摘要: A plurality of reference pressures for pressure in an intake passage of the engine is stored in a memory so as to be derived in accordance with speed of the engine and opening degree of a throttle valve of the engine. A reference pressure is derived from the memory in accordance with the engine speed and the corrected opening degree. The pressure in an intake pipe is compared with the reference pressure. A fail-safe signal is generated when the intake pipe pressure is higher than the reference pressure. In response to the fail-safe signal, the fuel supply for the engine is cut off when the engine speed is higher than a predetermined speed.
