    摘要： A heat exchanger includes a connector for connecting a header tank to an exterior pipe. The connector includes a first member configured to define a communication path through which a tank open portion of the header tank communicates with an interior of the exterior pipe, and a second member to which the first member is fixed. The first member and the second member are fixed to each other after being separately formed by pressing, and the second member has a fastening portion through which the connector is fastened to the exterior pipe. Furthermore, the first member includes a first connection portion that is fitted into the tank open portion at one open side of the communication path, and a second connection portion fitted to an open portion of the exterior pipe at other open side of the communication path.

    摘要： A refrigerant tube for a heat exchanger, comprising: a generally flat tube 10 having generally flat upper and lower walls 12/14; a plurality of reinforcing walls 16 connected between the upper and lower walls 12/14, the reinforcing walls extending along and generally parallel with a longitudinal axis A—A of the tube and being spaced apart from one another by a predetermined distance; and a plurality of communication holes 18 distributed along the length of each reinforcing wall 16, thereby defining a plurality of discrete wall portions 20 along each reinforcing wall 16, each of the discrete wall portions 20 being disposed between adjacent communication holes 18 and having an upstream edge 22 and a downstream edge 24 thereof, the communication holes 18 and discrete wall portions 20 having lengths L1 and L2, respectively, as measured along the longitudinal axis A—A, the communication holes 18 being spaced apart along each reinforcing wall 16 by a pitch P. Each communication hole 18 in each reinforcing wall is disposed between the upstream and downstream edges 22/24 of a laterally adjacent discrete wall portion 20 of each adjacent reinforcing wall, such that a wall overlap ratio Wr, defined as [P−2L1]/P, is greater than 0, and preferably 0.4≦Wr≦0.6.

    摘要： An evaporator comprises a pair of upper and lower horizontal header tanks, a group of heat exchange tubes arranged laterally of the evaporator in front and rear two rows and each connected to the upper header tank and the lower header tank respectively, and a vertical partition wall provided inside the upper header tank and extending laterally of the evaporator so as to form sectioned header chambers for causing a refrigerant to flow through each pair of front and rear adjacent heat exchange tubes in directions opposite to each other. An inlet is provided for a liquid-vapor mixture refrigerant in a sectioned rear header chamber, and an outlet is provided for vaporized refrigerant in a sectioned front header chamber. The evaporator is 3 to 30% in channel opening ratio.

The lower side header tank is formed with drains, which are depressions, at positions between the tubes so that condensed water, which accumulates on the lower side header tank, drains away through the drains.
