The invention refers to a dental composition kit which comprises a combination of (A) a one-pack primer composition containing (a) an acid group-having polymerizable monomer and (b) an aromatic secondary amine and/or an aromatic tertiary amine, and (B) a cement composition containing (c) a polyalkenoic acid, (d) an ion-leachable glass filler, (e) a polymerizable monomer, (f) water, (g) a peroxide and (h) a salt of an aromatic sulfinic acid. A dental composition kit of this invention is easy to handle, and the cured product of the compositions bonds well to teeth. The kit is useful in restoring decayed or injured teeth and in bonding prostheses to teeth.

A molded polymer article comprises a main molded body having on the surface thereof a hydrophilic polymer layer, the article being obtained by polymerizing both a monomer having a hydrophilic group and coated on the surface of a hydrophilic mold, and a polymerizable composition consisting essentially of a monomer and/or oligomer and placed in the mold. The hydrophilic polymer layer has excellent adhesiveness to the main body of the molded polymer article and excellent durability, so that the high hydrophilic property can be maintained, even when the article is exposed to external forces such as friction, over a long period of time. The molded articles are therefore useful as, in particular, contact lenses.

It is particularly effective for use in dentistry, though it is useful for a variety of other purposes, too.

A method of inhibiting vascular intimal hyperplasia including: placing a stent within a blood vessel, the stent having a stent body of a cylindrical configuration having outer and inner surfaces with a diamond-like thin film coated on the surfaces, a first coated layer coating at least the outer surface of the stent body, the first coated layer being prepared of a first composition comprising a biodegradable polymer and a vascular intimal hyperplasia inhibitor of a kind, comprising argatroban, which does not inhibit proliferation of endothelial cells, the weight composition ratio of the polymer to the vascular intimal hyperplasia inhibitor being within the range of 8:2 to 7:3, and a second coated layer; and causing argatroban to be released from the stent to thereby inhibit the vascular intimal hyperplasia without inhibiting proliferation of endothelial cells.
