摘要: The present invention relates to polymeric composites comprising inorganic fillers and organic, or organometallic, polymers. The filler compositions are used in the preparation of inorganic-organic polymeric composites, and, in particular, light curable composites. The composite fillers are used in dental applications, such as tooth restorations, for example, cavity fillings, adhesive compositions, veneers, crowns, bridges and teeth replacements. The inventive composition is a composite filler comprising porous inorganic particles having a diameter of 2-25 microns and a polymer occupying the pores of the porous inorganic particles, wherein the composite filler has a diameter of 2-25 microns.

摘要: Dentinal tubules sealing method using dentinal tubules sealant that is to be applied to a dentin surface to fill solid particles into dentinal tubules, wherein the dentinal tubules sealant comprises a water-based dispersing agent in which solid particles are dispersed and which has a solid/liquid ratio of from 0.3 to 2.6, and the method comprises applying the dentinal tubules sealant to a dentin surface to fill solid particles into dentinal tubules, and then removing a solid component adhering to the dentin surface by scrubbing using water. Thus, pains, hyperesthesia, and so on are allowed to be suppressed because dentinal tubules will be filled and sealed with solid particles and a curable composition is allowed to exhibit improved adhesive properties to a dentin surface because solid components adhering to the dentin surface can be removed by scrubbing using water.

摘要: Ceramic precursor compositions and chemically bonded ceramic (CBC) materials, especially Ca-based, and a composite biomaterial suitable for orthopaedic applications. The CBC-system includes a binding phase (chemical cement) and additional phases with specified chemistry imparting to the biomaterial the ability of initial strength followed by interaction with the body tissue including body liquid, to form a resorbable or partly resorbable biomaterial. The ceramic precursor composition includes at least one silicate with Ca as the main cation with a resorption rate less or equal to that of the bone in-growth rate. The silicate will form the binding phase of the cured material. Implants and surface coated devices are also disclosed. The cured material exhibits a compressive strength exceeding 100 MPa.

摘要: Uniformly sized and shaped particles of metal salts are provided comprised of one or more metal cations in combination with one or more simple oxoacid anions and a general method for the controlled precipitation of said metal salts from aqueous solutions. The methods proceed via the in situ homogeneous production of simple or complex oxoacid anions in which one or more of the nonmetallic elements e.g. Group 5B and 6B (chalcogenides), and 7B (halides) comprising the first oxoacid anion undergo oxidation to generate the precipitant anionic species along with concurrent reduction of the nonmetallic element of a second, dissimilar oxoacid anion. The oxoacid anions are initially present in solution with one or more metal cations known to form insoluble salts with the precipitant anion.

摘要: Candies and confectioneries containing non-toxic sparingly soluble calcium and phosphate compounds as additives, cause the release of calcium and phosphate ions into the oral cavity gradually and persistently for a period no less than five minutes. Released calcium phosphate ions diffuse into partially demineralized tooth enamel or dentin, leasing to remineralization and repair of caries lesions, dental plaque, open dentinal tubules and exposed dentin. Agents and methods for remineralization of teeth, for reducing or eradicating cariogenic challenge in plaque following sucrose intake for producing effective anticaries actions without the use of fluoride and for desensitizing hypersensitive teeth are disclosed.
