    摘要: The present invention provides novel, isolated, tumor-associated antigens, and methods for identifying such antigens in a biological sample, and of screening for the presence of such an antigen in a biological specimen, wherein the tumor antigen identified reacts with serum from a subject treated with a vaccine comprising a cytokine and proliferation-incompetent tumor cells which express the tumor-associated antigen. Also provided are kits for carrying out the methods of the invention.

    摘要: Disclosed are methods for killing or retarding the growth of a B cell cancer cell, by contacting the cell with a FRIL family member molecule. Also disclosed are methods for determining if a B cell cancer is sensitive to a FRIL family member molecule, or if a B cell cancer patient will benefit from treatment with a FRIL family member molecule, by contacting a B cell cancer cell with the FRIL family member molecule and determining if growth of the cell is retarded. In addition, methods for treating a B cell cancer patient are disclosed, as well as compositions comprising a FRIL family member molecule and a chemotherapeutic, radiotherapeutic, or agent that selectively kills B cells. Also disclosed are methods for locating a B cell cancer in a patient by administering a detectably labeled FRIL family member molecule to the patient and detecting the label.

    摘要: An improved coupling assembly between an actuating member and a shaft is disclosed. It is comprised of locking means on the actuating member for engaging with the shaft in order to secure the actuating member thereto. In addition, an actuating means for actuating the locking means to allow removal of the actuating member is provided. Groove and key means between the actuating member and the shaft is provided to allow the member to be removed longitudinally thereof while preventing rotation of the member about the shaft when the locking means is engaged with the shaft.

    摘要: A drive unit for providing kinetic frictional resistance to an exercising apparatus which includes a sub-frame with a driving and driven element coupled to the sub-frame a motor coupled to the driving element for rotatably driving the latter. The driving and driven elements are coupled such that the driving and driven elements slip relative to one another. An adjustment is provided for adjusting the kinetic friction force between the driving and driven elements, while a stop is mounted on the sub-frame for blocking the driven element from movement beyond a start position. In operation the driving element is continuously driven by the motor throughout an exercise so that only kinetic friction has to be overcome by a user.
