摘要: An electronic circuit component housing assembly adapted to be mounted mechanically on a printed circuit, using a single mechanical fastener to attach the circuit component housing assembly in a unique alignment with the printed circuit, and simultaneously using the fastener to provide force to press physically compliant electrical contacts included in the circuit component housing assembly into electrical contact with terminal contact pads on the printed circuit. Several electronic circuit components may be housed in separate hermetically sealed cavities and can be biased independently of one another. Thermal conductors are included in the base member and a convection cooler is mounted atop the assembly. The mechanical fastener also acts as a thermal conductor. A test probe assembly including multiple contacts mounts on the electronic circuit component housing.

摘要: An autocalibrated multistage analog to digital converter precisely maintains appropriate error correction levels for each stage during operation of the converter to minimize quantization errors. An error signal is derived from the digital output of the converter based upon the slope of the input analog signal, determined either explicitly via hardware or implicitly via software, and an overflow/underflow condition. The error signal is fed back to a calibration control circuit to generate individual error correction levels for various variable correction devices within the analog to digital converter, such as a variable analog delay device. The variations from nominal established at calibration that are due to age, temperature or other environmental factors generate the error signal that varies from a nominal value and is fed back to alter the various error correction levels to minimize the error variation.

摘要: Apparatus for baseline restoration in an AC-coupled signal is comprised of a differentiation circuit followed by an integration circuit to receive the signal and continually restore its DC reference. Both circuits are initially set to the DC reference, and reset after a lapse of some predetermined period based upon the worst case signal-to-noise ratio anticipated for the system. Transmission is terminated, or interrupted, before resetting. A header may be used to signal resumption of transmission to the apparatus in an asynchronous receiving mode. In a synchronous receiving mode, the transmission is simply interrupted at each time the apparatus is reset.
