摘要： A heat sink includes a base and a cover that can be assembled to form a heat sink body, with a channel defined between the base and the cover. The channel extends from a first opening to a second opening. A fan secured to the heat sink body is configured to move air through the first opening, through the channel, and then out through the second opening. Electrical terminals are supported on an insulating body secured to the base. Each electrical terminal has an upper end for receiving a lead of an electronic device, and a lower end for engaging another socket or a printed circuit board. Vias extending through the cover are aligned with the electrical terminals so that a lead of an electronic device can extend through a via into the socket of an electrical terminal. Fins extend from the cover and/or the base.

摘要： A chip carrier mounting system of the present invention includes a chip carrier socket which is mounted (e.g., by soldering) on a printed circuit board. The chip carrier socket has a frame and a plurality of spaced-apart, inwardly projecting contact members constructed of electrically conductive material. The system further includes a chip carrier constructed and arranged for receiving and securing a chip thereto. The chip carrier includes a frame having a plurality of spaced-apart receiving slots in registry with and capable of receiving the contact members therein for securing the chip carrier to the chip carrier socket. Each receiving slot has an electrically conductive surface mount for providing electrical connection between the chip, chip carrier, chip carrier socket and printed circuit board. The system also includes a retaining clip releasably securable to the chip carrier socket for maintaining the chip carrier and chip carrier socket in assembled relation.

摘要： A method for electrochemically filtering a bodily fluid in the treatment of a disease includes a pump to circulate the fluid through a collection container and an electromagnetic charging system. One of the cathode and anode leads is connected to a collection plate while the other of the cathode and anode leads is connected a patient to be treated. Inlet and outlet catheters are connected to patient to be treated. A predetermined voltage is applied across the anode lead and the cathode lead from a DC power supply, wherein circulating fluid from the patient passes through the collection container for removal of charged biological materials onto the collection plate. The fluid is returned back to the patient by the pump system.

摘要： An insulated socket body and terminal assembly for an integrated chip includes upper and lower insulated socket body portions which are received together in mated relation to define a socket body having a plurality of lumens extending therethrough. The assembly further includes a like plurality of monolithic spring terminals received within the lumens, wherein the spring terminals include upper and lower contact ends connected by a central cantilever spring. In an alternate embodiment a patient's brain and/or spinal fluid a pump operates to circulate a flushing fluid. The pump will circulate the solution from the collection vessel to the patient.
