    摘要: A thermal head including a protection layer having mutually opposed first and second surfaces, said first surface having a flat or protruded printing surface which is brought into contact with a heat sensitive record medium, a heat generating section including resistors and electrodes connected to the electrodes and provided on said second surface of the protection layer, and a reinforcing member made of a low melting pint glass and provided on a side of the heat generating section remote from the protection layer. The reinforcing member improves a mechanical strength of the thermal head. The reinforcing member made of a glass also serves as a heat storage member, and thus a thermal property of the thermal head is improved. The reinforcing member may be formed by an aggregate of ceramic particles. The reinforcing member may contain a heat storage layer made of a low melting point glass and a heat conduction layer provided on the heat storage layer.

    摘要: There is provided a rare-earth permanent magnet optimized to an IPM type motor for a car, capable of improving corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance, and impact resistance. The rare-earth permanent magnet 16 is configured by forming an electroplated Ni coating film 21, of which thickness is 15 μm or more and 30 μm or less and of which shape is a columnar crystal structure, on a surface of a R—Fe—B system permanent magnet (R is a rare-earth element) 22. The electroplated Ni coating film 21 has a high hardness region, where the Vickers hardness is 300 or more and 600 or less, and a low hardness region, where the Vickers hardness is 150 or more and 300 or less. The rare-earth permanent magnet 16 is used in a state where the rare-earth permanent magnet 16 is inserted into a slot of a yoke in a rotor of an IPM type motor for a car.

    摘要: The invention aims to provide a method for preparing a composite substrate of substrate/electrode/dielectric layer structure having a thick-film dielectric layer with a smooth surface using a sol-gel solution of high concentration capable of forming a film to a substantial thickness without generating cracks, the composite substrate and an EL device using the same. The object is attained by a method for preparing a composite substrate including in order an electrically insulating substrate, an electrode and an insulator layer formed thereon by a thick film technique, wherein a thin-film insulator layer is formed on the insulator layer by applying to the insulator layer a sol-gel solution obtained by dissolving a metal compound in a diol represented by OH(CH2)nOH as a solvent, followed by drying and firing; the composite substrate and an EL device using the same.
