摘要: A fluorescent display device includes a front glass at least part of which is translucent, a substrate, a cathode, an electron-emitting layer, an electron extracting electrode, a phosphor film and an anode, and a conductive layer. The substrate is formed of an insulating member arranged to oppose the front glass. The front glass and the substrate constitute part of a vacuum envelope. The cathode is disposed on the substrate. The electron-emitting layer includes a carbon nanotube and is formed on a surface of the cathode. The electron extracting electrode is arranged between the substrate and the front glass to be spaced apart from the cathode. The phosphor layer and the anode stack on a surface of the front glass which opposes the substrate. The conductive layer is formed between the cathode and the substrate.

摘要: A flat display includes a front glass plate, substrate, cathode, gate electrode, a phosphor screen and metal-backed film, and matrix-like spacer. The front glass plate is at least partly transparent. The substrate is arranged to oppose the front glass plate through a vacuum space. The cathode is formed on the substrate and has an electron-emitting source made of nano tube fibers. The gate electrode has an electron-passing hole in a direction perpendicular to the substrate and is arranged in the vacuum space away from the cathode to oppose the substrate. The phosphor screen and metal-backed film are sequentially stacked on a surface of the front glass plate which opposes the substrate. The matrix-like spacer is stacked between the gate electrode and front glass plate and has a plurality of openings each corresponding to the electron-passing hole.

摘要: A flat panel display includes a substrate, a front glass, a cathode, a gate electrode, a plurality of front ribs, a phosphor film and a metal-backed film, and a gate rib. The front glass is arranged to oppose the substrate and forms a vacuum envelope together with the substrate. The front glass is transparent at least partially. The cathode is arranged on the substrate. The gate electrode is arranged between the substrate and front glass and includes an electron-passing hole through which an electron emitted from the cathode passes. The front ribs extend vertically at a predetermined interval from the front glass toward the gate electrode. The phosphor film and metal-backed film are stacked on a region of the front glass which is sandwiched by the front ribs. The gate rib extends vertically from the gate electrode toward the front glass and is in contact with the front ribs. A gate electrode structure and a gate electrode structure manufacturing method are also disclosed.

摘要: A cathode substrate (10) and gate substrate (30) are arranged such that at least gate ribs (12) abut against cathode ribs (34) and gate electrodes (35) and, depending on the case, the cathode ribs (34) abut against cathodes (13). The gate ribs (12) and cathode ribs (34) can be formed to heights of about 5 μm to 300 μm. The gate ribs (12) can be surface-polished so their heights are uniform. The distance between the cathode electrodes (13) and gate electrodes (35) can accordingly be made uniform and short, so driving at a low voltage and an increase in luminance uniformity can be realized.

摘要: A vacuum fluorescent display includes a front glass member, substrate, phosphor film, an electron-emitting portion, electron extracting electrode, and insulating support member. The front glass member has light transmission properties at least partly. The substrate opposes the front glass member through a vacuum space. The phosphor film is formed on that surface of the front glass member which opposes the substrate and has a predetermined display pattern. The electron-emitting portion is mounted on the substrate to oppose the phosphor film, and has an electron-emitting surface corresponding to the display pattern. The electron extracting electrode is arranged in the vacuum space between the electron-emitting portion and the phosphor film to be spaced apart from the electron-emitting portion by a predetermined distance. The insulating support member is formed on the substrate and adapted to support the electron extracting electrode and divide the electron-emitting surface of the electron-emitting portion into a plurality of regions.

Carbon nanotubes that form the film (7) are disconnected by laser irradiation, so that the density of the carbon nanotubes is optimized. When the film (7) is formed in this manner, stable emission can be obtained from a cathode structure (5).

摘要: A flat-panel display includes a front glass, glass substrate, cathodes, gate electrodes, phosphor films, and anodes. The front glass has translucency at least partly. The substrate is placed to oppose the front glass through a vacuum space. The cathodes are formed on the substrate. The gate electrodes are placed in the vacuum space and spaced apart from the cathodes. The phosphor layers and anodes are formed on a surface of the front glass which opposes the substrate. Each cathode includes a metal member having many opening portions which is mounted on the substrate, and a conductive material containing carbon nanotubes filled in the mesh-like opening portions. A method of manufacturing a flat-panel display is also disclosed.

摘要: A vacuum fluorescent display includes a cathode electrode, grid electrode, anode electrode, at least one envelope, phosphor screen, and cap. The cathode electrode emits electrons. The grid electrode extracts the electrons from the cathode electrode. The anode electrode accelerates the electrons extracted from the cathode electrode. The envelope accommodates the cathode electrode, grid electrode, and anode electrode in a vacuum space and has a phosphor screen plate having light transmission properties. The phosphor screen is formed on an inner surface of the phosphor screen plate of the envelope and adapted to emit light upon bombardment of the electrons accelerated by the anode electrode. The cap is made of an X-ray shielding material and supported outside the envelope so as to surround the phosphor screen plate of the envelope through a gap. The cap has a light exit portion from which the light emitted from the phosphor screen emerges through the phosphor screen plate of the envelope.
