Abstract:
An information processing apparatus includes a first obtaining unit, a second obtaining unit and a display control unit. The first obtaining unit obtains, from an electronic device connected to the information processing apparatus, image data stored in a memory medium connected to the electronic device. The second obtaining unit obtains in advance reduced image data corresponding to the image data before obtainment of the image data by the first obtaining unit. The display control unit updates reduced image data displayed on a display unit, obtained by the second obtaining unit, in accordance with a display condition designated by a user. When the display condition is changed while the first obtaining unit is executing obtainment of image data, the first obtaining unit changes an obtainment order of image data based on the changed display condition.
Abstract:
A fuel feed pump is provided that has a fuel flow-rate regulating valve, on the inlet side. The fuel flow-rate regulating valve includes a housing with a fuel inlet port and a fuel outlet port, a valve mechanism for controlling the flow rate of the fuel from the inlet port to the outlet port, and a regulating mechanism for regulating a backpressure to control the position of a needle valve of the valve mechanism in response to a system pressure, to thereby control the flow rate by controlling the fuel flow through an opening provided in a valve chamber. This arrangement makes it difficult for contamination to accumulate, and also enables a low-cost implementation.
Abstract:
In a glow plug, a resistance element buried in an elongated, rod-like insulating ceramic member includes first and second resistive heating elements. The first heating element is arranged at the front end portion of a ceramic heater and made of a positive temperature coefficient resistive ceramic material, containing silicon nitride, such as SiAlON. The second heating element is arranged behind of and connected in series with the first heating element and made of a metal material (e.g., tungsten) having a positive temperature coefficient of resistance larger than that of the first heating element. Both heating elements are arranged in the portion of the ceramic member projecting outwardly from the holder and metal pipe fitted about the control portions of the ceramic member. The glow plug further comprises a metal holder holding the rod-like member in a way that a front portion of the rod-like member protrudes from the metal holder. The metal holder is substantially tubular and includes a metal pipe fitted on and fixed at a central portion in a longitudinal direction of the rod-like member, and is connected to the second heating element.
Abstract:
A glow plug for diesel engines in which a ceramic heater is supported, with the one end thereof cantilevered toward the outside, by the tip of a hollow holder ceramic heater is composed of a U-shaped heating portion and a pair of leads extending backwards from both ends of the U-shaped heating portion, both being formed integrally by an electrically conductive ceramic material. The outer periphery of at least one of the leads is bonded and held in the holder via an insulating layer. The rear end of the other of the leads is connected by a metallic lead wire to an external connection terminal. The ceramic heater and other component members are bonded integrally by a bonding material containing a reactive metal.
Abstract:
A diesel engine glow plug having an elongated hollow electrically conductive holder, which holds a rod-like ceramic heater at one end thereof such that one end of the heater extends outside the holder. An external connecting terminal is positioned in the other end of the hollow holder and electrically insulated from the hollow holder. The ceramic heater is a U-shaped heating element with a pair of parallel lead portions made of a resistive ceramic material extending backward from both ends of the U-shaped heating element and arranged such that the outer surfaces of the lead portions are held by the distal end of the holder through electrical insulating layers between the inner surface of the holder and the outer surface of the lead portions. The rear end portions of the lead portions are electrode extraction ends wherein the electrode extraction end of one lead portion is electrically connected to the external connecting terminal through a conductive material and the electrode extraction end of the other lead portion is connected to the metal pipe which itself is electrically connected to the holder through a conductive material.
Abstract:
A diesel engine glow plug includes a hollow holder, a ceramic heater, an electrically conductive annular member, an external connecting terminal, and an insulating sleeve. The annular member is interposed between the rear end portion of the ceramic heater and the distal end portion of the hollow holder. The external connecting terminal engages with the rear end portion of the ceramic heater from the rear end portion of the holder through an interior of the holder. The insulating sleeve is housed in the hollow holder to electrically insulate the external connecting terminal from the hollow holder. The ceramic heater includes a U-shaped heating portion and a pair of parallel lead portions extending backward from the heating portion and terminating in an enlarged diameter portion defining the rear end portion of the heater. One of the lead portions is electrically connected to the holder through the annular member. The remaining one of the lead portions is engaged with and electrically connected to the external connecting terminal. The rear end portion of the hollow holder fixes the above members housed in the holder. The annular member has a cylindrical portion, which surrounds the rear end portion of the heater, and a tapered portion which electrically connects the distal end portion of the holder with one of the lead portions.

Abstract:
The invention provides fuel supply pump that can improve the durability of a fuel inlet valve and stably pressure-feed high pressure fuel of a large flow rate. In the fuel inlet valve according to the invention, a valve piston includes, in its outer surface in the vicinity of an end portion on an opposite side of a collar portion, a groove portion to which a fastener for fixing the valve piston and a spring seat locks. The spring seat includes an open portion into which the valve piston is inserted and includes, along an edge of the open portion, a step portion to which the fastener locks. The valve piston is inserted into the open portion of the spring seat, and the fastener is thereafter caused to lock to the groove portion of the valve piston. The spring seat is energized by a spring to cause the fastener to lock to the step portion, whereby the spring seat is fixed to the valve piston. A clearance is disposed between the fastener and at least one of an edge portion of the groove portion on an energizing direction side and an edge portion of the step portion on the opposite side of the energizing direction.
