    摘要: Effective treatments of pain and/or inflammation for extended periods of time are provided. Through the administration of an effective amount of sulindac or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof at or near a target site, one can relieve pain and/or inflammation caused by diverse sources, including but not limited to spinal disc herniation (i.e. sciatica), spondilothesis, stenosis, discongenic back pain and joint pain, as well as pain that is incidental to surgery. When appropriate formulations are provided within biodegradable polymers, this relief can be continued for at least three days, at least twenty-five days. In some embodiments, the relief can be for at least fifty days, at least one hundred days, at least one hundred and thirty-five days or at least one hundred and eighty days.

    摘要: Methods and an apparatus are provided for interpolation of pixels in a pixel array having rows and columns of pixels. The apparatus includes a shift register array to shift pixel values of the pixel array, the shift register array including two or more shift registers; an interpolation filter array interconnected to the shift register array, the interpolation filter array including one or more interpolation filters; and a controller configured to provide pixel values in columns of the pixel array from the shift register array to respective interpolation filters in a first mode and configured to provide pixel values in rows of the pixel array from the shift register array to respective interpolation filters in a second mode. The controller may be configured to supply vertical sub-pixel values from the shift register array to the interpolation filters to generate diagonal sub-pixel values.

    摘要: The stand has modules to form a support base with elongated support members with wheels or legs. The stand can either incorporate two spaced load supporting posts or a single post extending from a spanner module that connects between the elongated support members. When two load support members are employed the user can step between the posts. When a single post and spanner are employed the user can step as far as the spanner near the center of support. The support members diverge from their centers provide a wide stance of the wheels or legs for stability. At the upper end of the post or posts a load support platform is carried either directly on a single post or through a cross-piece on a two post configuration. T-shaped slots in the post can be utilized to attach loads to the posts and a panel extending between posts. In either configuration a spilt wheel at the level of the load support allows for the user to maneuver a wheeled version of the stand and serves as a fender protecting equipment carried on the load support platform.

    摘要: A wireless communication assembly includes a driver module connected to a first portion of a machine, such as a laundry machine, and a receiver module connected to a second portion of the machine, such as a rotatable drum. The first module includes a primary coil configured to generate an electromagnetic field and a first wireless transceiver. The second module includes a secondary coil configured to convert energy within the electromagnetic field into electric power, and a second wireless transceiver powered by the secondary coil and configured to communicate with the first wireless transceiver. One or more sensors may be positioned within the drum to measure various conditions. The receiver module may be powered by the secondary coil and when powered on, may communicate data from the one or more sensors to the first module.

    摘要: One example scleral prosthesis includes a first free end and a second free end, each wider than a middle portion of the scleral prosthesis. Multiple first portions form the first end of the scleral prosthesis. The first portions are separated along at least half of a length of the scleral prosthesis. Multiple second portions may form the second end of the scleral prosthesis, and the second portions may be separated along less than a quarter of the length of the scleral prosthesis. An implantation device can be used to facilitate implantation of a scleral prosthesis. The implantation device includes a first end portion configured to be inserted into a scleral tunnel of an eye. The implantation device also includes a second end portion configured to receive the scleral prosthesis. A rod with a tapered and rounded end can be partially inserted into the first end portion of the implantation device.

    摘要: The present invention is a transparent thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) comprising structural units of: a.) a diisocyanate; b.1) a polyester diol and b.2) a specific polyether diol and c.) a chain extender. The TPU has good combinations of light transmission and clarity, tensile strength, low temperature flexibility, and high moisture vapor transition rates compared to other commercial or known TPUs. A preferred example composition is a TPU that is based on MDI as the diisocyanate monomer, polycaprolactone as a polyester diol, an EO capped EO/PO polyether diol containing less than 20% EO, and butanediol as chain extender. These composition have good combinations of clarity, tensile strength, hydrolytic stability and processability compared to TPUs prepared using either polyester or polyether diols alone or the combination with a higher EO polyether diol.
