    摘要: The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for cleaning ambient air by means of an adsorption unit (8) arranged in a vehicle, which vehicle includes a combustion engine (1) and a ventilation system (5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11) for a passenger compartment. Adsorption takes place whether the engine (1) is running or switched off. In adsorption mode, a fan (11) is operated to force ambient air from an inlet (6) to the ventilation system in a first direction, through an adsorption unit (8), and out of an outlet (10) of the ventilation system. In desorption mode the engine is running and air is supplied to a first heating means (13). The heated air is passed through the adsorption unit (8) to release the pollutants and regenerate said unit. The air containing the pollutants is passed through a second heating means (4, 16) and is then passed through the first heating means (13) to heat the said ambient air. Finally, the polluted air is drawn from the heat exchanger (13) to an intake conduit (3) of the combustion engine (1).

    摘要: A cowl covers a steering handle and a body frame from upper and front sides of the steering handle to the right and left sides of the body frame. The cowl is mounted to the body frame. The cowl includes an upper portion for covering the upper side of the steering handle and a screen mounting recess opened at its rear end. A windscreen inclined rearwardly and upwardly is mounted to the screen mounting recess. Side surfaces of the cowl are each provided with an air guide groove wherein an airflow is directed toward the airflow guiding-in port while being straightened. In addition, slits through which the airflows are directed to upper portions of the airflow guiding-in ports are each provided between those opposed edge portions of the windscreen and the cowl which front on the screen mounting recess. The battery is cooled without depending on an electric fan.

    摘要: The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for cleaning ambient air of a vehicular adsorption unit (8). The vehicle includes a combustion engine (1) and a passenger ventilation system (5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11). Adsorption takes place whether the engine (1) is running or not. During adsorption, a fan (11) forces ambient air from an inlet (6) to the ventilation system in a first direction, through an adsorption unit (8), and out of an outlet (10). To desorb when the engine is running, air is supplied to a heater (13). Heated air is passes through the adsorption unit (8) to release pollutants and regenerate the unit. Pollutant containing air passes through a second heater (4, 16) and then through the first heater (13) to heat the ambient air. Finally, polluted air is drawn from the heat exchanger (13) to an intake conduit (3) of the engine (1).

    摘要: A system for determining the effectiveness of a catalytic coating on a radiator in a motor vehicle. The system provides a driver or maintenance staff status of the catalytic function provided by the catalytic coating on a heat exchanger in a cooling system connected to an engine in a motor vehicle. The motor vehicle includes an engine, a cooling circuit, a heat exchanger having at least a partially externally coating of a catalytic material for converting environmentally harmful substances in ambient air. A sensor determines the effectiveness of the catalytic exchanger by comparing a parameter on one side of the heat exchanger with a parameter on the other side of the heat exchanger. The sensor determines the effectiveness of the catalytic exchanger by measuring untreated air and air that is treated by passing through the heat exchanger. A fan is used to reverse the flow of air to and from the heat exchanger. The sensor can also determine the degradation of a test cell which degrades in a similar manner as the catalytic coating on the heat exchanger.
