摘要: A vehicle includes a vehicle body having an underbody, the vehicle body defining an inner fender, the inner fender forming an opening in the underbody of the vehicle body. A wheel assembly has a rim and a tire, and the wheel assembly is positioned within the inner fender. A suspension knuckle is disposed within the inner fender to permit motion of the wheel assembly relative to the vehicle body. A brake shield is mounted on the suspension knuckle and an inner fender undercover panel is secured on one of the brake shield and the suspension knuckle and disposed inboard of the wheel assembly. The inner fender undercover panel is configured to move up and down with vertical movement of the suspension knuckle and to move with turning movement of the wheel assembly.

摘要: In some examples, a cooling system defines a first flow path for a first gas stream and a second flow path for a second gas stream. The cooling system is configured to merge the first gas stream and the second gas stream to produce a mixed gas stream and provide the mixed gas stream to cool a brake assembly of a wheel. Control circuitry is configured to adjust a flow rate of the second gas stream based on a pressure and/or other flow parameter of the first gas stream. In examples, the control circuitry is configured to initiate and/or substantially cease cooling to the brake assembly based on a temperature signal indicative of a temperature of the brake assembly.

The BTCS 100 may be incorporated into an aircraft system 1000 with at least one fluid moving device 230, 231, 232, wherein the aircraft system is on an aircraft 200.

摘要: Thermal control system for aircraft main landing gear wheel wells and related methods are disclosed. An example thermal control system includes a conduit defining a fluid passageway between an inlet and an outlet. The inlet of the conduit positioned in fluid communication with a landing gear wheel well and the outlet of the conduit positioned in fluid communication with the atmosphere. The conduit generates a pressure differential through the fluid passageway between the inlet and the outlet to exhaust heat from the landing gear wheel well to the atmosphere.

摘要: An active aerodynamic underbody shield system includes an underbody shield with a vent, a panel displaceable between a vent closing position and a vent opening position, an actuator to displace the panel and a controller for the actuator. The controller is configured to open the vent during vehicle braking to reduce downforce and therefore provide better lift balance adjustment for the motor vehicle. A method of reducing downforce and providing better lift balance adjustment during vehicle braking is also provided.

摘要: According to an aspect, this invention relates to a cooling device for a disc brake, the device extending in a longitudinal direction and comprising a first portion configured to surround the discs of the brake, intended for being arranged facing the side surfaces of the brake discs and configured to capture, by irradiation and/or convection, the heat generated by the discs during the friction. The cooling device further includes a second portion, secured and thermally coupled to the first portion, offset in the longitudinal direction relative to the first portion, and provided with tins extending radially relative to the longitudinal direction and configured to dissipate the heat captured by the first portion, by convection and/or irradiation, into the ambient air.

摘要: Air channels and wind turbines systems are provided for cooling vehicle parts and storing electrical energy in a vehicle battery. The vehicle may have a battery, a braking system, an air duct with wind turbines and a generator. The air duct has an inlet portion for receiving an airflow, a body portion having wind turbines, and an outlet portion for directing the airflow to the braking system. A generator converts kinetic energy of the wind turbines to electrical energy stored in the battery. The wind turbines can be positioned in an air duct extending from a front bumper to an area proximal to one or more wheels to enhance vehicle aerodynamics. Alternatively, the wind turbines can be positioned in openings between grill shutters to generate energy and cool a radiator. Alternatively, the wind turbines can be positioned proximal to powertrain or drivetrain components for cooling and generating electrical energy.
