    摘要: A liquid crystal display includes first and second substrates, and a liquid crystal layer disposed therebetween. First and second gate lines are disposed on the first substrate. First and second data lines, and a power line are disposed on the first substrate. A first switching element is connected to the first gate line and the first data line, a second switching element is connected to the first gate line and the power line, a third switching element is connected to the second gate line and the second data line, a first pixel electrode is connected to the first switching element, a second pixel electrode is connected to the second switching element, a third pixel electrode is connected to the second switching element, and a fourth pixel electrode is connected to the third switching element, and a gate-on voltage can be simultaneously applied to the first and second gate lines.

A transverse center line bisects the first and second pixel electrodes into upper and lower portions. The first and second pixel electrodes include a plurality of branches which alternate. First and second regions include first and second intervals between adjacent branches of the first and second pixel electrodes, respectively, the first interval being larger then the second interval. At least one of the branches includes a first portion forming a first angle with the transverse center line, and a second portion forming a second angle with the transverse center line different from the first angle.

    摘要: A liquid crystal display includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal layer between the substrates and including liquid crystal molecules, a first pixel electrode, and a second pixel electrode. The pixel electrodes each include a stem at an edge of a pixel area, and a plurality of branches extended from the stem. The branches of the pixel electrodes are alternately disposed. The liquid crystal display further includes a first region including a first interval between the branches of the first pixel electrode and adjacent branches of the second pixel electrode, and a second region including a second interval between the branches of the first pixel electrode and the adjacent branches of the second pixel electrode which is smaller than the first interval. The first region is where the stems of the first pixel electrode and the second pixel electrode are not disposed.

    摘要: A display substrate includes a gate line, a gate insulating layer, a data line, a thin-film transistor (TFT), a storage line, a passivation layer, a color filter layer, a pixel electrode, a first light-blocking layer and a second light-blocking layer. The storage line includes the same material as the gate line. The passivation layer covers the data line. The color filter layer is formed on the passivation layer. The pixel electrode is formed on the color filter layer in each pixel. The first light-blocking layer is formed between adjacent pixel electrodes, and includes the same material as the gate line. The second light-blocking layer is formed between the first light-blocking layer, and includes the same material as the data line. Therefore, an aperture ratio may be increased.
