摘要： The present invention relates to an acid catalyzed thermal polycondensation process for producing amino acid polymers. More specifically, amino acid polymers are produced by thermally condensing a mixture of one or more amino acids and optionally one or more polyfunctional monomers, using an acid catalyst, while maintaining an intimate admixture. Processing techniques useful for maintaining an intimate admixture include adding to the mixture one or more processing aids, using mechanical means, and combinations thereof. The amino acid polymers produced by this process are useful as cleaning and detergent additives; fertilizer and pesticide additives; personal care product additives; dispersants for inorganic particulates, aqueous emulsions, and drilling muds; and water treatment and oil production operation additives as corrosion and scale inhibitors.

Textual information (e.g., text associated with a presentation) is received for display during a conference session to multiple participants. For a particular participant, configuration information corresponding to the participant specifies language assistance for the textual information. Language assistance involves augmenting the textual information according to the configuration information for comprehension of the textual information by the particular participant. In one embodiment, the augmented textual information includes language translation of the textual information. Additionally, the augmented textual information can encompass definitions of terms, including acronyms. The augmented textual information is forwarded for display to the participant during the conference session.

The apparatus includes a communications network, a gateway, a communications link, and a network processor. The communications network is operative to carry user calls. The gateway communicates with the network and is operative to collect call billing data from the network in a first data structure format. The communication link is coupled to the gateway. The network processor communicates with the gateway via the communication link. The network processor is operative to receive the collected call billing data in the first data structure format and convert the collected call billing data from the first data structure format to a second data structure format. A method is also provided.

The reaction is optionally conducted in the presence of one or more processing aids, solvents or diluents. The polysuccinimide is particularly useful as a detergent additive.

摘要： A system and method is provided for delivering facsimile messages to electronic mail addresses as object files attached to or inserted within e-mail messages. A facsimile server device is provided with a facsimile modem for receiving facsimile calls. The facsimile server device includes various application file translation software programs for translating the facsimile object files to subscriber selected formats. In operation, an e-mail subscriber also subscribes to a facsimile-delivery-to-electronic-mail system and is issued a specially designated phone number for receiving facsimile transmissions. The subscriber selects a file translation format in accordance with a software application program which the subscriber uses. The facsimile server device receives and demodulates the facsimile transmission and stores it as an object file in the native facsimile format. The facsimile server device then queries a subscriber database for translation of the dialed phone number to an e-mail address. The subscriber database query also provides a subscriber selected file format which the facsimile file is to be translated into prior to sending to the subscriber. The facsimile server device creates an e-mail message addressed to the e-mail address and translates the native facsimile object file to the format file specified by the subscriber database. The facsimile server device attaches the translated object file to the electronic mail message, or inserts it within, and sends the electronic mail message to the subscriber.
