Abstract:
The invention concerns a process for the immobilization of a homogeneous catalyst comprising immobilizing the homogeneous catalyst in zeotype crystals with a non-crystallographic mesopore system and a mesopore volume of the zeotype crystals above 0.25 ml/g. The invention also concerns a catalytic material prepared by the immobilization process.
Abstract:
A rhenium (IV) sulphide (ReS2) nanotube material and a method of preparation of the rhenium (IV) sulphide (ReS2) nanotube material. The rhenium (IV) sulphide (ReS2) nanotube material comprises hollow cylinders of concentric rhenium (IV) sulphide layers, the ReS2 interlayer distance being between 0.5 to 0.7 nm. Each ReS2 layer consists of a layer of rhenium atoms sandwiched between two layers of sulfur atoms.
Abstract:
Described herein is a combined process for improved hydrotreating of diesel fuels, in which the feed to be hydrotreated is pretreated with a selective adsorbent prior to the hydrotreating step to remove polar materials, especially nitrogen containing compounds (N-compounds). The selective adsorption process can employ either liquid or solid adsorbents. After contact of the adsorbent with the diesel fuel feed, the adsorbent containing undesired polar compounds is separated from the diesel fuel. The separated adsorbent is then subjected to a two step procedure for regeneration.
Abstract:
A process for catalytic isomerisation of alkyl aromatic compounds in a hydrocarbon process stream comprising contacting the alkyl aromatic compound-containing hydrocarbon stream under isomerisation conditions with a crystalline zeolite catalyst consisting of individual, primary crystals having an intracrystalline, non-crystallographic mesopore system and a mesopore volume of the zeolite crystals above 0.25.
Abstract:
Process for the preparation of ammonia from ammonia synthesis gas by contacting the synthesis gas with a bimetallic catalyst comprising a Group VIII metal combined with a Group VIB metal at conditions being effective in the formation of ammonia, wherein the bimetallic catalyst is in its nitride form during contact with the synthesis gas.

Processes applying mesoporous titanium containing zeolite based catalysts for selective oxidation or epoxidation of hydrocarbons by peroxides.
Abstract:
A method for the preparation of small zeotype crystals with controlled sizes comprising the steps of synthesizing inside a porous material having a majority of pores less than 1000 Å a synthesis gel consisting essentially of (a) a zeotype precursor composition comprising hydratized oxides of Si, Al and P and metal compounds (b) a zeolite template; and heating or autoclaving the porous support material containing synthesis gel, whereby zeotype crystals are formed; and rinsing and drying the porous support material containing zeotype crystals.
