摘要: Embodiments relate to methods for enhancing chemical conversions. One or more embodiments relate to a method for enhancing a multi-step chemical conversion reaction. The method includes providing a reactant mixture having one or more reacting specie(s); and providing a catalyst or sorbent having one or more support materials and one or more deposited catalytically active materials. The method further includes applying an electromagnetic field with a prescribed power, frequency, and pulsing strategy specific to interactions of reactant species and an electromagnetic field with at least one of the support materials, sorbent, and catalytically active materials in a particular chemical reaction.

摘要: A process to separate paraxylene from a mixture of paraxylene, metaxylene, orthoxylene, and ethylbenzene in a commercial simulated moving bed apparatus in a reduced number of beds is provided, allowing an additional separation to be conducted in the remaining beds. This additional separation may separate another xylene isomer, ethylbenzene, or a non-aromatic C8+ hydrocarbon from the raffinate stream produced by the first separation. A PowerFeed process is used to recover paraxylene in a first adsorption zone containing 8-16 beds of a conventional 24-bed simulated moving bed adsorption apparatus, and then a second separation may be conducted in a second adsorption zone containing the remaining beds.

摘要: A method of preparing a metal-doped zeolite catalyst with a modified topology (e.g. a pillared zeolite or a delaminated zeolite), and a method of using thereof in a process for converting an alkyl-aromatic hydrocarbon stream to BTX (benzene/toluene/xylene), wherein an enhanced pore topology in the metal-doped zeolite catalyst determines a selectivity to transalkylation of trimethylbenzene to xylene, which in turn leads to a higher xylene yield. Various embodiments of the method of preparing the metal-doped zeolite catalyst, and the process for converting the alkyl-aromatic hydrocarbon stream to BTX are also provided.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method of forming mixed xylenes from a heavy reformate using a dealkylation-transalkylation system that includes the step of introducing a heavy reformate containing methyl ethyl benzenes and tri-methyl benzenes and sufficiently free of toluene into the dealkylation stage with a hydrogen-containing material such that the heavy reformate and the hydrogen-containing material intermingle and contact a hydrodealkylation catalyst. The dealkylation-transalkylation system includes dealkylation stages, non-aromatic product gas separations and transalkylation stages. The BTEX component toluene forms from the reaction of methyl ethyl benzenes and hydrogen in the presence of the hydrodealkylation catalyst. The method also includes the step of introducing a dealkylated heavy reformate into the transalkylation stage such that the dealkylated heavy reformate contacts a transalkylation catalyst, forming a transalkylation stage product mixture that includes mixed xylenes.

摘要: The invention relates to the production of aromatic hydrocarbon by the conversion of a feed comprising C2+ non-aromatic hydrocarbon, e.g., natural gas. The invention is particularly useful in converting natural gas to liquid-phase aromatic hydrocarbon, which can be more easily transported away from remote natural gas production facilities. The conversion is carried out in the presence of a dehydrocyclization catalyst comprising dehydrogenation and molecular sieve components. The dehydrocyclization catalyst has an average residence time of 90 seconds or less.

摘要: An apparatus (10) for the preparation of acetylene and synthesis gas by partial oxidation of hydrocarbons with oxygen is proposed. The apparatus (10) comprises a reactor (12), wherein the reactor (12) comprises a burner block (14) with a furnace chamber for the preparation of a composition C1 comprising at least acetylene and substituted acetylene, a first scrubber (22) which is constructed for adding a solvent to the composition C1 to obtain a composition C2, a second scrubber (26) which is constructed for adding the solvent to the composition C2 to obtain a composition C3, a first stripper (36) which is constructed for stripping the composition C3 to obtain a composition C4 comprising the substituted acetylene, acetylene and the solvent and for separating off the acetylene, a first column (46) which is constructed for partial degassing of the composition C4 under a pressure of from 1.0 bar to 1.5 bar to obtain a composition C5 and a first amount A1 of the solvent, a second stripper (56) to which the composition C5 can be fed for stripping a composition C9 to obtain a second amount A2 of the solvent and a composition C6, a third stripper (68) which is constructed for stripping the solvent from the first scrubber (22) to obtain a composition C9, wherein the third striper (68) is connected to the second stripper (56) for feeding the composition C9 to the second stripper (56), an apparatus (72) for adding a diluting gas to the composition C5, which is arranged between the first column (46) and the second stripper (56), a second column (76) which is constructed for adding water to the composition C6 to obtain a composition C7 comprising a third amount A3 of the solvent and water and to obtain a composition C8 comprising the substituted acetylene, and a mixing condenser (82) which is constructed for adding water to the composition C8 to obtain a composition C11 comprising the substituted acetylene.A process for the preparation of acetylene and synthesis gas by partial oxidation of hydrocarbons with oxygen is further proposed.

摘要: Systems and processes for maximizing the production of benzene and para-xylene from heavy reformate are provided. An integrated process and system may include a C9 dealkylation reactor, a transalkylation reactor, and a C10+ dealkylation reactor. The integrated process and system for producing benzene and para-xylene may be configured to additionally produce alkanes in the presence of hydrogen or olefins in the absence of hydrogen. The transalkylation reactor may perform transalkylation of product from the C9 dealkylation reactor and xylene isomerization.
