Abstract:
Methods and phantoms for verification in radiotherapy systems. A phantom for verification in a radiotherapy system may include a body to support a detector surface for obtaining a panoramic image of individual radiation beams in the radiotherapy system. The detector surface may be positioned in an intermediate region between the one or more sources and a target isocenter of the radiotherapy system. The detector surface may at least partially surround the target isocenter.
Abstract:
A motor comprising, a rotor having a shaped pole operative to minimize cogging torque and electro motive Force (EMF) harmonics, a stator having teeth members, the teeth members including, end portions, wherein the end portions partially define slot openings having a first dimension, and a notch opening defined by the end portions having a second dimension.
Abstract:
Magnetic ring systems for attachment to a shaft and methods of making and using are provided. According to an embodiment, a magnetic ring system for attachment to a shaft comprises: a magnetic ring; and an adaptor configured to fit, inside the magnetic ring, the adaptor comprising an inner wall spaced from an outer wall, wherein the inner wall comprises a plurality of grooves for engaging the shaft.
Abstract:
A high speed fabric is provided and is partitioned into sub-fabrics for host adapter traffic and device adapter traffic. A high-speed switch includes an expander for host adapter traffic and an expander for device adapter traffic. The high-speed switch also includes a plurality of connectors, where each connector is partitioned into dual interfaces. For each connector, one interface is connected to the host adapter traffic expander and the other interface is connected to the device adapter traffic expander. Blades are provided with one or more connectors, where each connector is partitioned into dual interfaces for host adapter traffic and device adapter traffic. The blades may be any combination of processor blades, boot drive enclosure blades, switched bunch of disks enclosure blades, and/or integrated RAID controller disk enclosure blades.
Abstract:
A method is disclosed to assign network addresses in a storage array disposed in a data storage and retrieval system comprising (P) data storage devices disposed in (N) data storage device assemblies. The method configures the (N) data storage device assemblies to comprise a spare data storage device assembly and a first storage array comprising (N−1) active data storage device assemblies, wherein each data storage device configured in the first storage array is assigned a network address, and wherein one of the spare data storage device disposed in the spare data storage device assembly is assigned a network address. In the event the method detects a failed data storage device disposed in the first storage array, then the method forms a second storage array comprising the first storage array, except the failed data storage device, in combination with the (i)th spare data storage device.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is an apparatus that relates to a gear set. The apparatus includes, a housing, a first gear movable in the housing such that a first axis defined by the first gear is repositionable relative to the housing, a second gear in mesh with the first gear, and a second axis defined by the second gear. The apparatus constrains movement of the first axis to a plane containing both the first axis and a line commonly perpendicular to the first axis and the second axis, and a biasing member that urges the first gear toward the second gear.
Abstract:
Disclosed are copolymers of carbon nanotubes, as well as processes and applications of carbon nanotube dispersions. Carbon nanotube emulsions and related technology are also disclosed. The controlled deposition of carbon nanotubes on substrates is also provided. Methods of purifying single-walled carbon nanotubes are also provided. Devices made according to the disclosed methods are further described herein.
Abstract:
Host port information is pulled directly from the switch before zoning is performed and is organized by chassis as an assist for mapping and masking an entire chassis. A graphical user interface allows a user to select storage by chassis to map and to select servers by chassis to map. The user then applies that mapping such that all servers selected are mapped to all storage selected. The user may repeat this mapping for another set of storage and servers. In a mixed environment, an icon may be shown in the graphical user interface to represent the mix. When the LUN mapping/masking is done, the LUN mapping/masking may be provided to the SAN manager to perform zoning. The LUN mapping/masking defines which host ports see which storage ports.

Abstract:
An apparatus for measuring relative displacement between a first shaft and a second shaft includes first and second rotor assemblies. The first rotor assembly is coupled to the first shaft and is centered on an axis. The second rotor assembly is coupled to the second shaft. The second rotor assembly has first and second stator plates. Each of the first and second stator plates includes an upper surface and a lower surface. The upper and lower surfaces are parallel. The first and second stator plates include a plurality of teeth extending in a direction radial of the axis. The first and second stator plates form a gap between the lower surface of the first stator plate and the upper surface of the second stator plate. The apparatus further includes at least one magnet having a magnetic field and disposed on the first rotor assembly and a sensing device disposed within the gap for sensing a magnetic flux of the magnetic field.
