Abstract:
The invention provides a method for regenerating with high efficiency a deteriorated catalyst of reduced activity, said catalyst originating from a heteropolyacid catalyst containing heteropolyacid formed of molybdophosphoric acid and/or molybdovanadophosphoric acid, or a salt thereof, to a heteropolyacid catalyst which exhibits approximately equivalent activity level to that of the fresh catalyst. Said method comprises mixing a deteriorated catalyst and a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compound under the conditions whereunder ammonium ions and nitrate anions are present at such ratio that the amount of total ammonium ions per mol of total nitrate anions does not exceed 1.7 mols, drying the mixture and calcining the same.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an image forming apparatus comprising an original document reading means for optically reading an image on an original document; and an image forming means arranged below the original document reading means for making a recording on a recording medium corresponding to image information read by the original document reading means. The image forming means is one-sidedly arranged to one side in a longitudinal direction of the original document reading means to create a space is obtained on the opposite side.
Abstract:
A process for vapor phase catalytic oxidation of methacrolein to produce methacrylic acid at high yield and with stability over a prolonged period is provided. The process is characterized, in the occasion of producing methacrylic acid by vapor phase catalytic oxidation of methacrolein using a fixed bed shell-and-tube reactor, in that (1) the catalyst layer in each reaction tube is divided into at least two layers in the axial direction of the tube to provide plural reaction zones, and (2) each of the reaction zones is filled with the catalyst in such a manner that the amount of the catalytically active component per unit volume of the reaction tube decreases from the gas inlet portion toward the gas outlet portion.
Abstract:
In an adhesively bonded structure between a dynamic power detecting element and an object to be detected, an adhesive bond bonding the dynamic power detecting element formed of a ferromagnetic material with the object to be detected is formed of an adhesive and an inorganic filler having a small linear thermal expansion coefficient and incorporated in the adhesive.
Abstract:
A mechanical quantity sensor element making use of stress-magneto effect of noncrystalline magnetic alloy. Compression strain is preliminarily given to a thin belt made of noncrystalline magnetic alloy by carrying out treatment of applying an external force onto a surface of the thin belt. Suitable methods for applying the external force include; surface grinding by means of abrasive cloth or paper, shot-peening in which spherical fine grains are impinged onto a surface of a thin belt, stroking work in which a surface of a thin belt is scrubbed by means of a scrubber piece made of synthetic resin, rubber or other material, and the like.
Abstract:
An armature coil for a rotary electric machinery includes a plurality of identical coil blocks each formed by a plurality of turns of and elongated conductor. Each of the coil blocks includes two groups of axial sections which are diametrically opposed to each other, and curved sections joining the two groups to each other at each axial end. The axial sections of one of the groups is disposed in an inner cylindrical layer while the axial sections of the other of the groups are disposed in an outer cylindrical layer which is coaxial with the inner cylindrical layer. The coil blocks are combined with each other by circumferentially shifting one coil block from another in such a maimer that the axial sections are arranged circumferentially along the inner and outer cylindrical layers, one next to another.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a process for producing acrolein and acrylic acid by the vapor-phase oxidation of propylene in the presence of Mo—Bi—Fe-based compound oxide catalysts packed in a fixed-bed multitubular reactor wherein acrolein and acrylic acid can be stably produced in high yield for a long period of time. This process is characterized in that each reaction tube having two or more reaction zones disposed along the axis of the tube is packed with catalysts having different ratios of the Bi and/or Fe content to the Mo content in such a way that the ratio decreases from the gas inlet side toward the gas outlet side.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus has a sheet support for accommodating an image-forming sheet; an image forming unit for forming an image on a sheet; a document reading section having a document placing table for reading image information of the document; an ADF in which a document is feedable to the document reading section and displaceable so as to allow placement of the document onto the document placing table; and a sheet discharging section on which a sheet with an image formed thereon by the image forming unit is discharged and stacked by arranging them in the image forming apparatus from the lower part thereof toward the upper part in order. The image forming apparatus further has a transferring section for transferring a sheet with an image formed thereon to the sheet discharging section which is held movably in the vertical direction.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a process for preparing a catalyst and the same for use in production of methacrylic acid, which is characterized by molding a raw material including a powder containing phosphorus and molybdenum at the specific pressure. The invention also provides a process for preparing methacrylic acid by gas phase oxidation and/or oxidative dehydrogenation of at least one compound selected from the group consisting of methacrolein, isobutyraldehyde and isobutyric acid in the presence of the catalyst.
