Abstract:
In one aspect, a computerized method useful for saving a virtual machine comprising: creating a virtual machine on a hypervisor; issuing a request to a central orchestrator to save the virtual machine, wherein the central orchestrator is accessed via a monitor interface, and wherein the central orchestrator communicates with a plurality of virtual machines that includes the virtual machine; with the central orchestrator, connecting to a hypervisor manager located on the hypervisor where the virtual machine is located on the hypervisor and passes a set of information comprising a VM storage image location.
Abstract:
An appliance for use in a method of reducing facial aging and/or oral parafunctional activity comprising two parts, each comprising a composite structure comprising: a first layer formed of a durable, resilient, elastomeric material comprising a cured thermoset rubber and which in use contacts the occlusal biting surfaces of the posterior teeth; and a second layer formed of a durable, non-deformable material having a softening point over 100° C. which provides a bite plate; wherein the second layer of each part is provided with a protrusion formed of durable, non-deformable material having a softening point over 100° C. which is positioned such that in use the protrusion extends from the surface above at least a part of the first and/or second molar teeth which are in contact with the first layer. A method of making the appliance, a kit of parts, and methods of use are also disclosed.
Abstract:
Lactams of formulae (I) and (II) and their use in the treatment of microbial infections and microbial contamination of surfaces, particularly infections and surface contaminations characterized by biofilm formation. Compounds of formula (I) and (II) substituted with acrylate or methacrylate groups and their attachment to surfaces or polymers to inhibit microbial contamination are also provided.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to novel lactams of formulae (I) and (II). The present invention further relates to the use of these compounds in the treatment of microbial infections and microbial contamination of surfaces, particularly infections and surface contaminations characterised by biofilm formation. Further provided are compounds of formula (I) and (II) substituted with acrylate or methacrylate groups and their attachment to surfaces or polymers to inhibit microbial contamination.
Abstract:
A data exchange adaptor that synchronizes data between an enterprise system operated by a company and a cloud-based system operated by a third party other than the company. The data exchange adaptor enables exchange of data between the enterprise system and the cloud-based system and controls storage and retrieval of data at the enterprise system and the cloud-based system. The data exchange adaptor also performs transport level security for communications that exchange data between the enterprise system and the cloud-based system and access level security for data stored to the enterprise system and the cloud-based system. The data exchange adaptor further schedules synchronization of data between the enterprise system and the cloud-based system and allows the enterprise system to retain control over the synchronization of data between the enterprise system and the cloud-based system.
Abstract:
A determination is made whether a first application server of a group of N application servers, N being at least two, is a coordinator of the group. Responsive to determining that the first application server is the coordinator of the group, a connection to a billing system is established, via a terminal server, by the first application server. A determination is made whether a second application server of the group of N application servers is the coordinator of the group. Responsive to determining that the second application server is not the coordinator of the group, a periodic check is made whether the second application server of the group of N application servers is the coordinator of the group. The second application server may later be determined to be the coordinator of the group, when the first server experiences difficulty. Once it is determined that the second application server now is the coordinator of the group, a connection is established to the billing system, via the terminal server, by the second application server.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and machine-readable media are disclosed for providing conditional grants of permission in an externally configured security policy. In one embodiment, a method is provided which comprises reading a condition clause from a grant statement defined in the security policy. The grant statement can cause the granting of permission for a user to access a requested resource. One or more constraints on the grant statement can be determined based on the condition clause. Permission can be granted to access the requested resource based on the one or more constraints.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a synergistic formulation comprising trans-tetracos-15-enoic acid (t-TCA) and andrographolide (AP) in the ratio ranging between 1:7 to 7:1 (w/w), useful in hepatoprotection; and a process for the preparation of a synergistic formulation comprising trans-tetracos-15-enoic acid (t-TCA) and andrographolide (AP) useful in hepatoprotection, said process comprising steps of grounding the particles of the t-TCA and AP into fine particles, mixing the fine particles in ratio ranging between 1:7 to 7:1 (w/w), and grinding the mixture to obtain formulation, and also, a method of hepatoprotection of a subject using the synergistic formulation comprising trans-tetracos-15-enoic acid (t-TCA) and andrographolide (AP), said method comprising the steps of administering the formulation to the subject.
Abstract:
A method for performing a bias temperature instability test on a device includes performing a first stress on the device. After the first stress, a first measurement is performed to determine a first parameter of the device. After the first measurement, a second stress is performed on the device, wherein only the first parameter is measured between the first stress and the second stress. The method further includes performing a second measurement to determine a second parameter of the device after the second stress. The second parameter is different from the first parameter.
Abstract:
Novel compounds based on phenyl-substituted naphtho[1,2-g]chrysene compounds (A) are described. The compounds are obtainable by dimerisation of 3-phenylchroman (isoflavonoid) ring systems (B). Methods of synthesis of the novel dimeric compounds, compositions containing same and use of the dimers as therapeutic agents are also described.
