    摘要: An adsorbent comprising a sepiolite and a zeolite, especially silicalite and a zeolite-containing adsorptive decomposition composition comprising the adsorbent and a catalyst component supported thereon are disclosed.A method of deodorizing which comprising using a composition comprising a sepiolite and a zeolite as an adsorbent and a method of purifying a gas containing unpleasant odors or noxious components, which comprises adsorbing such odors or noxious components in the gas on an adsorptive decomposition composition comprising the adsorbent and a catalyst component supported thereon and periodically or non-periodically heating said composition to desorb and decompose the adsorbates therefrom are also disclosed.Adsorptive compositions and adsorptive decomposition compositions have a large adsorption and desorption rate, get little degradation in their performances at repeated use, and exhibit excellent water resistance, namely, a large adsorption and decomposition capacity even when they are wet.The adsorptive decomposition composition can not only adsorb odorous components from the gas but also catalytically decompose in situ those adsorbates desorbed therefrom by heat regeneration and makes possible a continuous deodorizer regeneration type deodorization.

    摘要: Disclosed is a porous sepiolite having an improved water-resistance and thermal shock resistance obtained by grinding, moisture-conditioning and molding sepiolite, and then calcining said molded sepiolite at a temperature in the range of about 650.degree. C. to about 800.degree. C. Also disclosed is a porous sepiolite having a large specific surface area, wherein the pores having a pore diameter of 50 angstroms or less have a specific surface area in the range of from 40 to 200 m.sup.2 /g and in which no less than 20% of the total surface of the sepiolite is occupied with the pores having a pore diameter of 50 angstroms or less and wherein the pore distribution curve of the sepiolite has a main peak at a pore diameter of no more than 50 angstroms. This sepiolite is obtained by grinding, moisture-conditioning and molding sepiolite, calcining the same at a temperature in the range of about 650.degree. to about 800.degree. C., and then subjecting said calcined sepiolite to an acid treatment.

    摘要: An improved spinning rotor for an open-end spinning frame is disclosed herein, according to which the rotor is made of steel, and selected portions of its interior peripheral surfaces, including the fiber-collecting groove thereof, which is formed along the maximum-diameter region within the spinning chamber, are heat-treated by a focused laser beam or focused electron beam to harden the same. Due to the nature of laser beams, only those areas which require surface hardening are heat-treated without heating the entire rotor body, so that no strain or distortion is developed in the rotor during the heat treatment process. As a result, the rotor is heat-treated to provide excellent wear-resisting properties and exceptional stability in operation at an extremely high speed for an extended period of service.
