摘要: A method of forming a base for supporting a three-dimensionally printed object includes operating at least one ejector of a three-dimensional object printer to form the base. At least one ejector is operated to eject build material to form a planar layer of build material on a platen, and to form a first plurality of anchoring portions on the planar layer. At least one ejector is operated to eject support material to form a plurality of second anchoring portions interlocked with the first anchoring portions so that the first and second anchoring portions form a planar anchoring layer, and to form a planar layer of support material on the anchoring layer that defines a planar base for supporting a three-dimensional object.

摘要: In one aspect, methods of printing a three-dimensional article are described herein. In some embodiments, a method described herein comprises jetting an ink at a temperature T1 onto a substrate at a temperature T2 to form a layer of the ink on the substrate. The method further comprises subsequently curing the layer of the ink. In some embodiments, T1 is greater than T2 and the ink in an uncured state has a liquid-gel transition temperature below T1 and above T2. Further, the layer of the ink is deposited on the substrate at a rate R1 in mg/s/in2 that is within 60% of a gelation rate R2 of the ink in inverse minutes in an uncured state at T2. The ink can comprise a curable material and a gellant.

摘要: A layered object manufacturing system is described. The system in one arrangement provides for the use of water based adhesives to bind successive layers of paper in generation of a three dimensional model. The paper can be provided in conventional paper sizes and is moveable within the system from a storage stack to a build object location, individual pages at a time. The system typically effects the application of adhesive onto the paper using an adhesive applicator wheel having a plurality of circumferentially spaced apart recesses for receiving adhesive. The wheel is rotatable to convey adhesive filled in one or more recesses to a targetsubstrate and to deposit controlled amounts of adhesive at discrete points thereon.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method for printing a three-dimensional structure with a smooth surface comprising the following steps of depositing multiple droplets of printing material at least partially side by side and one above the other and curing the deposited droplets by light irradiation to build up a three-dimensional pre-structure in a first step, and smoothing at least one surface of the three-dimensional pre-structure by targeted placement of compensation droplets in boundary areas of adjacent deposited droplets and/or in edges of the surface to be smoothed in a second step to build up the three-dimensional structure with a smooth surface.

摘要: Embodiments of the disclosure are drawn to methods of forming an applicator body of an applicator for insertion into an anatomical cavity of a patient for delivering a treatment to the patient. In some instances, the method may include receiving a first three-dimensional image of the anatomical cavity, which was generated while the anatomical cavity contained an expandable container adjacent a tissue region of the patient, and while the expandable container was filled with fluid such that the container was expanded to substantially conform to the shape of at least a portion of the tissue region. The method also may include isolating, from the first three-dimensional image, a first sub-image corresponding to an image of the filled expanded container. The method further may include using the first sub-image as a design template for forming the applicator body for use with the patient.

The steps include curing deposited layers to form gel layers and activating the disintegrating agent by an external trigger during or after depositing the disintegrating agent to gradually degrade the degradable component.
