摘要: An air conditioning system to improve indoor air quality (“IAQ”) comprises an air conditioner to receive indoor air from an indoor space and to heat or cool the air, the air conditioner to then return conditioned air to the indoor space. An IAQ option board (“IOB”), electrically coupled to the air conditioner control board, is configured to accept electrical inputs from at least one IAQ sensor. A fresh air damper is electrically connected to the IOB, the IOB controlling the position of the fresh air damper valve. An air purifier is situated such that air from the indoor space passes through the purifier. The operation of state of operation of the purifier is based at least in part on the input from at least one IAQ sensor to improve the IAQ of the indoor space.

摘要: An air terminal for a heating or air conditioning system includes a housing and a fresh air inlet in the housing to supply a fresh airflow to the air terminal. An outlet diffuser is located at the housing to allow airflow from the air terminal into a conditioned space. An inlet diffuser is located at the housing to allow return airflow from the conditioned space into the air terminal. A coil is located in the housing through which a heat transfer medium is flowable to condition the fresh airflow and/or the return airflow prior to flowing through the outlet diffuser into the conditioned space. A fan is located in the housing to urge return airflow through the inlet diffuser and across the coil.

摘要: A photocatalytic air purifier is disclosed. The photocatalytic purifier includes filter structures coated with a catalytic material such as titanium dioxide. One or more UV lamps are interposed between the filter structures. The catalytic layer reacts with airborne VOCs and bioaerosols when activated by the UV lamps to thereby oxidize the VOCs and destroy the bioaerosols. The photocatalytic air purifier does not need to be replaced or regenerated after a period of continuous usage. The photocatalytic purifier of the present invention substantially eliminates odors, VOCs, and bioaerosols from air directed through the fan coil. The photocatalytic air purifier includes a control system that optimizes operating costs. Because of these features, service, maintenance, and filter replacement are reduced to a minimum. At the same time, the well being of persons living in the space conditioned by the photocatalytic air purifier is improved.

摘要: An air conditioning system includes a climatic beam located in a room. The climatic beam includes a first portion and a second portion, and a divider located along a length of the climatic beam to separate the first portion from the second portion. The climatic beam further includes a coil supplied with a flow of fluid. A fresh air duct is connected to the first portion to provide a flow of fresh air into the first portion, and a fan is located at the second portion and is configured to draw a flow of primary air across the coil and into the second portion. A beam exit allows a flow of the fresh air and the primary air into the room.
