Abstract:
Prostate phantom comprising an artificial prostate (1) and an artificial lesion arranged within the artificial prostate (1), wherein the artificial prostate (1) comprises: a first part (1a) mimicking a peripheral zone of a zonal anatomy of the prostate, the first part (1a) being made of a first artificial tissue and comprising a closed outer surface, at least a second part (1b) separate from the first part (1a) and mimicking at least a second zone of the zonal anatomy of the prostate, the second part (1b) being made of a second artificial tissue and comprising a closed outer surface, the first (1a) and second (1b) parts contacting each other along an interface mimicking a boundary between the peripheral zone and the second zone.
Abstract:
A method, computer program, and system are disclosed for transferring data. Data packages are transmitted from a plurality of data sources to a first gateway. The data packages are transmitted from the first gateway to a second gateway. The data packages are transmitted from the second gateway to a plurality of data destinations. Acknowledgement messages are transmitted from the data destinations to the second gateway. Pause messages are generated at the second gateway based at least in part on the reception of the acknowledgement messages by the second gateway. The pause messages are transmitted from the second gateway to the first gateway.
Abstract:
When a product such as ammonia, which is liquefiable under pressure and which is miscible with water is stored underground the storage takes place at the liquefaction pressure of the product and inside a double skin which defines an intermediate space (10), with both skins being inserted in a cavity (1) formed in a water-impregnated formation. The depth of the storage is so chosen that the hydrostatic pressure of the water in the formation is greater than the greatest expected pressure of the stored product, with the intermediate space being filled with water and being maintained at a pressure which is lower than the lowest expected pressure of the stored product. If the inner skin is punctured, NH.sub.3 is recovered in the water in the shaft (2) and does not escape to contaminate the water in the surrounding formation.
Abstract:
A database system carries out a technique for use in delivering data of a user-defined type to a requesting system. The system first receives a request from the requesting system for data of the user-defined type. The system then identifies a storage location for the requested data, as well as a storage location for program code designed to allow manipulation of the requested data on the requesting system. The system then retrieves both the requested data and the program code from their respective storage locations and delivers both the requested data and the program code to the requesting system.
Abstract:
The framework comprises a cushion frame (1) provided on each side with a substantially triangular mount (34, 48) the mount (34) comprising a lower rear corner located at the rear of the cushion frame. The cushion frame is connected to a generally U-shaped backrest frame by a pivot shaft (4) which extends on one side through a port (14) of the backrest frame and on the other side through a triangular bracket (16) carrying three tubes (20,22,24) interconnected at their ends, on each side of the bracket, and connected to the bar (26) of the U-shape in the upper part of the tubes.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a travel device in a machine tool having a travel slide (2) which supports a machining unit (4) and which is mounted on a frame by means of runners having balls. Frame (1) is fitted with two parallel rails (12) having a wide-mouthed groove (13) on their outer face. A base plate (3) of the slide (2) has on its lower face four runners guided by balls (15) comprising a section where the balls (16) project so as to be engaged in the groove (13) of the rail. The runners (15) are protected from machining scraps. They are also prestressed by adjusting screws (24) so as to exert permanent pressure on the rails. Such a device can be used in all machine tools or transfer installations fitted with a travel slide.
