    摘要: Hopper cars both open and covered and discharge control systems are disclosed. Each hopper car may include at least one hopper and a center sill which defines in part a longitudinal axis of the hopper car. At least one discharge opening may be formed proximate a lower portion of each hopper. A respective door assembly may be pivotally mounted adjacent to each discharge opening to control the flow of lading from the respective discharge opening. Each discharge control system may include a common linkage and associated secondary linkages operable to move associated door assemblies between a first position and a second position. A power source including a motor, an air cylinder or a hydraulic cylinder may be disposed on the railway car to move the common linkage. For other hopper cars a wayside drive system may be releasably engaged with a capstan operable coupled to the common linkage.

    摘要: A sterile needle with a trailing plastic tube receives telescopically and frictionally within the trailing tube a metal implant bushing sheathed in tissue compatible silicone rubber. A double headed wire extends through and beyone one end of the implant bushing. When the needle and trailing tubing are passed through the scalp for a sufficient distance to implant the silicone rubber sheathed bushing, the headed wire is held against movement of the bushing while the trailing tube is pulled off of the implanted bushing and separated from the scalp. A curved adapter needle may be employed in the initial penetration of the scalp. The silicone rubber sheathed bushing may be wired with or without a top bar for hair piece attachment.

    摘要: A straight needle for penetrating the scalp substantially parallel to the underlying bone structure has a trailing tissue-compatible flexible preferably transparent plastic tube which contains a stainless steel bushing. After being pulled through the scalp puncture openings by the needle, the needle with a portion of the trailing tube is severed and discarded with a section of the tube and the contained bushing remaining in the scalp with end portions projecting outwardly of the puncture openings. The external end portions of the bushing are turned upwardly approximately normal to the scalp and a parallel lock bar to which a hair piece may be anchored is attached in close parallel relationship to the implanted bushing by a wire which is threaded through the bushing and its encasing tube before bending the ends of the bushing. The wire ends are also threaded through the tubular lock bar and tightened prior to crimping the ends of the lock bar on the wire and removal of excess wire ends to complete the implanted unit. Sterile packaging is featured. Only simple tools are required. Strain on the edges of scalp puncture openings is eliminated. By a modification, plural bushings can be implanted in the scalp in a connected array by continuous crimped wires which will prevent both the wires and the bushings from moving relatively. The wire crimped portions between bushings lie close to the scalp for the attachment of a hair piece.

The insulated boxcar may be formed with interior dimensions corresponding generally with interior dimensions of an uninsulated boxcar without requiring the use of high cost, high performance insulation. The insulated boxcar may be formed at a reasonable cost and selling price with increased load carrying capacity, increased service life, and reduced maintenance costs as compared to conventional insulated boxcars.
