摘要: A display apparatus includes a backlight unit generating light, a display panel including a plurality of pixels controlling transmittance of the light based upon pixel data, a timing controller compensating the pixel data, and a data driver driving the display panel based upon the compensated pixel data. The display panel includes a first area to which the light having a first brightness is supplied and a second area to which the light having a second brightness lower than the first brightness is supplied. The timing controller compensates for the pixel data supplied to at least one area of the first and second areas using a predetermined compensation value to reduce a brightness difference between the first and second areas.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a touch panel, including: a base substrate divided into an active area, a bezel area surrounding the active area, and a connection area provided outside the bezel area; sensing electrodes formed in the active area; and electrode wirings connected to the sensing electrodes and extended to the connecting area. Here, a predetermined portion of the base substrate is cut and the connection area is folded by using the predetermined portion as a boundary line such that the connection area is protruded outwardly from the base substrate. According to the present invention, the connection area is provided in the base substrate in a single body, thereby allowing omission of separate flexible printed cables, and thus, an attaching process of the flexible printed cable can also be omitted.

摘要: Disclosed herein are a touch panel and a method for manufacturing the same. A touch panel 100 according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention is configured to include: a window 110 that is a support disposed at an outermost side; a first electrode pattern 120 containing silver formed by selectively exposing/developing a silver salt emulsion layer 150 and formed on one surface of the window 110 as a fine pattern; a second pattern 130 containing silver formed by selectively exposing/developing the silver salt emulsion layer 150 and formed on the other surface of the window 110 as a fine pattern; and an optical filter layer 140 formed at least one of between one surface of the window 110 and the first electrode pattern 120 and between the other surface of the window 110 and the second electrode pattern 130 to selectively block light.

The touch panel includes: a transparent substrate formed of silicon; and sensing electrodes each formed in a metal mesh pattern on one surface or both surfaces of the transparent substrate.Since the transparent substrate is formed of silicon having excellent adhesive property, the sensing electrode can be formed on a transparent substrate even without a separate adhesive material.

摘要: A display apparatus includes a backlight unit generating light, a display panel including a plurality of pixels controlling transmittance of the light based upon pixel data, a timing controller compensating the pixel data, and a data driver driving the display panel based upon the compensated pixel data. The display panel includes a first area to which the light having a first brightness is supplied and a second area to which the light having a second brightness lower than the first brightness is supplied. The timing controller compensates for the pixel data supplied to at least one area of the first and second areas using a predetermined compensation value to reduce a brightness difference between the first and second areas.

摘要: In a display apparatus according to an embodiment, a variable diffuser film is disposed between a backlight unit generating light and a display panel displaying an image. The variable diffuser film transmits or scatters the light from the backlight unit in response to an electrical signal to control a viewing angle. The variable diffuser film is disposed between the first and second transparent layers and includes a polymer layer in which liquid crystal molecules transmitting or scattering the light according to the electrical signal are dispersed. The polymer layer has a thickness of about 3 micrometers to about 15 micrometers, and the liquid crystal molecules have an anisotropic refractive index (Δn) of about 0.15 to about 0.25. In one aspect, the display apparatus may automatically switch a narrow viewing angle mode and a wide viewing angle mode, thereby reducing power consumption necessary to switch the narrow and wide viewing angle modes.

摘要: Disclosed are a prism sheet and a liquid crystal display having the same. The prism sheet includes a base and a plurality of prism mountains. The base includes a front surface and a rear surface facing the front surface. The prism mountains are integrally formed with the base on the rear surface of the base. At least one prism mountain includes a plurality of light incidence surfaces and a reflective surface. The light incidence surfaces receive light. The reflective surface is adjacent to one of the light incidence surfaces to reflect the light. A vertical angle of the prism mountains formed between the light incidence surface adjacent to the reflective surface and the reflective surface, is in a range of about 70° to about 100°.

摘要: Disclosed herein are a conductive film and a method for manufacturing the same. The conductive film includes: electrode layers each formed on both surfaces of a transparent substrate by exposing/developing a silver salt emulsion layer and containing silver; and optical filter layers formed between both surfaces of the transparent substrate and the electrode layers or between one surface of the transparent substrate and the electrode layer to selectively block light. The optical filter layer is used, thereby making it possible to prevent exposure of the silver salt emulsion layers formed on both surfaces of the transparent substrate from affecting the silver salt emulsion layers formed on surfaces opposite to each other.
