摘要： A liquid crystal display includes: a first substrate; a pixel electrode on the first substrate; a second substrate which faces the first substrate; a common electrode on the second substrate; a liquid crystal layer between the first substrate and the second substrate; and a cross-shaped organic layer protrusion on the first substrate or the second substrate and overlapping the pixel electrode. The edge of the organic layer protrusion is protruded from the edge of the pixel electrode.

摘要： A liquid crystal display includes first and second sub-pixels charged with the same voltage during a first period. The voltage charged in the second sub-pixel is decreased after the first period. Since the voltage level of the first sub-pixel is different from the voltage level of the second sub-pixel after the first period, liquid crystal molecules disposed corresponding to the first sub-pixel are aligned in a direction different from that of liquid crystal molecules disposed corresponding to the second sub-pixel. Thus, a side viewing angle of the liquid crystal display is improved.

摘要： According to this disclosure of a thin film transistor array panel and the manufacturing method thereof, dams have a function of forming a light blocking member by an inkjet printing method and are formed along with color filters. Spacers are formed by the inkjet printing method along with the light blocking member and color filters. Advantages of this panel and its manufacturing method are a reduction in an alignment error of the light blocking member and the color filters, reduced manufacturing cost, and a simplified manufacturing.

摘要： A display substrate includes a soda-lime glass substrate, a barrier pattern, and first, second and third conductive patterns. The soda-lime glass substrate has a pixel area. The first conductive pattern includes a gate line formed on the soda-lime glass substrate and from a first conductive layer. The barrier pattern is formed between the first conductive pattern and the soda-lime glass substrate. The second conductive pattern includes a data line crossing the gate line. The data line is formed on the first conductive pattern and from a second conductive layer. The third conductive pattern includes a pixel electrode formed in the pixel area of the soda-lime glass substrate. The pixel electrode is formed on the second conductive pattern and from a third conductive layer.

摘要： A method of treating a soda-lime glass (SLG) substrate includes cleaning the SLG substrate using an alkali cleaning solution and cleaning the cleaned SLG substrate using a plasma process. The SLG substrate is cleaned using the alkali cleaning solution to remove particles adhered to the SLG substrate. Thus, defects due to the adhering particles may be reduced.

摘要： Provided is a method for manufacturing a thin-film transistor substrate, in which the etching characteristics of an insulating film and a passivation layer are enhanced. The insulating film and the passivation layer are deposited by low temperature chemical vapor deposition. The method includes disposing a gate wiring on an insulating substrate; disposing a gate insulating film on the gate wiring; disposing a data wiring on the gate insulating film; disposing a passivation layer on the data wiring; and forming a contact hole by etching at least one of the gate insulating film and the passivation layer, wherein at least one of the gate insulating film and the passivation layer is disposed at a temperature of about 280° C. or below, and the forming of the contact hole is performed at a pressure of about 60 mT or below.
