    摘要: A method in a transmitting node in a wireless communication system for instructing a user terminal to perform uplink sounding is provided, said method comprising: generating an unlink grant in a downlink control information (DCI) for instructing the user terminal to transmit an uplink channel with only a reference signal; and transmitting the DCI with said uplink grant to the user terminal, and wherein said uplink grant is configured as a redundant state within the DCI. A method in a receiving node in a wireless communication system for performing uplink sounding is also provided.

    摘要: A method for detecting an Almost-Blank Subframe (ABS) configuration for an interfering macro cell of a heterogeneous network is implemented in a wireless terminal. For one or more resource blocks in a received signal, a first power metric is calculated as a function of channel response estimates determined for predicted cell-specific (or common) reference signal (CRS) resource element locations in a plurality of symbols. For the one or more resource blocks in the received signal, a second power metric is calculated as a function of channel response estimates determined for the predicted CRS resource element locations in a single one of the plurality of symbols. A difference between the first and second power metrics is compared to a threshold, and responsive to the comparison a determination is made as to whether the macro cell is operating in a Multicast and Broadcast Single Frequency Network (MBSFN) mode or a non-MBSFN mode.

    摘要: A wireless communication node (10) dynamically estimates passive intermodulation (PIM) interference coupled into the node's receive path from the transmission of a composite signal through the node's transmit path. The node (10) then cancels the estimated PIM interference in the receive path. In some embodiments, the node dynamically estimates the PIM interference as a function of the composite signal that models PIM interference generation and coupling in the node (10) according to one or more coefficients (30). The coefficients (30) may be determined by transmitting a test signal (34) during a test stage, when the node (10) is not scheduled to receive any signal. Later, when the composite signal (18) is transmitted, the node (10) uses the coefficients (10) to dynamically estimate and cancel the resulting PIM interference.

    摘要: According to an example embodiment, a method may include determining, by a first wireless node in a wireless network, a number N of resource blocks available for transmitting data within a cell, the N resource blocks each including V resource block orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols, the V resource block OFDM symbols each including U resource block subcarriers. The method may also include mapping the N resource blocks into N subchannels based on a permutation formula, the permutation formula assigning, based on permutation parameters including the number N and a random or pseudorandom variable, U subchannel subcarriers for each of V subchannel OFDM symbols to each of the N subchannels and thereby allocating a subchannel index for each of the N subchannels. The method may also include sending a message to a second wireless node indicating the permutation parameters and the allocated subchannel index of at least one of the N subchannels for communication between the first wireless node and the second wireless node.
