The control unit measures the temperature of the liquid crystal panel each time the second time interval elapses. Moreover, if an operation to change the amount of light reaching the liquid crystal panel is performed, the control unit restores the time interval for measuring the temperature of the liquid crystal panel to the first time interval.

    摘要: In a display device such as a liquid crystal display device, in order to connect electrodes and wiring with a low resistance, the first titanium nitride film 14 having a hexagonal crystal structure for preventing silicon diffusion is intervened between the drain region 5 composed of a polycrystalline silicon film and the drain electrode 9 composed of an aluminum film. The second titanium nitride film 15 having a hexagonal crystal structure which can be deposited by sputtering with the same target as that for the titanium film 13 and the first titanium film 14 is intervened between the transparent display electrode 12 composed of an ITO film and the drain electrode 9 composed of an aluminum film in order to bring them into ohmic contact. Since the second titanium nitride film 15 is resistant to an etchant for the silicon oxide film and to an etchant for the ITO film, the drain electrode 9 is protected when etching is performed.

    摘要: A driving circuit drives an electro-optical device in which a gray-scale level of each of a plurality of electro-optical elements provided so as to correspond to a plurality of data lines is controlled on the basis of a voltage of a corresponding data line. The driving circuit includes a pulse output circuit that outputs a plurality of sampling pulses, each of the plurality of sampling pulses becoming an active level sequentially; a plurality of unit circuits each of which is supplied with a sampling pulse from the pulse output circuit; and a signal line that is supplied with a gray-scale signal to sequentially designate a gray-scale level of each of the electro-optical elements. Each of the plurality of unit circuits has a first switching element that samples the gray-scale signal supplied to the signal line in accordance with a sampling pulse output from the pulse output circuit; a second switching element that is inserted between the first switching element and the data line and enters an off state until a predetermined period passes from a time when sampling operation is started by the first switching element; and a storage capacitor that holds a voltage of an output terminal of the second switching element.

    摘要: An optical head expresses gray scales of pixels, which belong to a block constituted by n pixels and m pixels in a first and second direction, respectively. The optical head includes light emitting devices that extend in the first direction and emit light; driving transistors that are provided corresponding to the light emitting devices; a potential line that applies potential to the driving transistors; and driving circuits that are provided corresponding to the driving transistors and that supply a driving control signal to gates of the driving transistors. The driving circuits each include a line having an intersection at which the line intersects the potential line; and a logic circuit that generates the driving control signal based on image data to instruct the light emitting devices. The logic circuits invert logic levels of the lines at the intersections every n number of intersections extending in the first direction.
