摘要: A technique to assess or analyze cap removal or opening torque or rotational position is provided. In at least one form, a high speed, on-line machine vision system measures or determines the rotational position of a cap on a bottle, measures or determines the rotational position of the finish or neck of the same bottle, and then optionally uses such positional information to predict the opening or removal torque that will be required for a consumer to remove the bottle cap from the bottle.

摘要: The present application suggests an electronic device and method for generating clock signals with and without frequency jitter for one source clock signal generated by a single narrow-band source clock signal. The device comprises a random number generator to generate a random number signal varying in time which represents a divisor fraction signal; a signal mixer to mix the timely varying random number signal and a clock divisor signal and to output a mixed divisor signal; and a fractional clock divider to generate an output clock signal from a source clock signal, wherein the output clock signal has a frequency fout(t), which is substantially equal to the frequency fsource of the source clock signal being a narrow-band clock signal divided by a divisor D(t) represented by the mixed divisor signal.

摘要: Pigment-based ink composition, and inkjet printing systems and methods employing such ink composition. The ink contains an aqueous polyurethane additive including polyurethane polymer chains including at least first segments having a polysiloxane group of Mw greater than about 10,000 pendant to the polyurethane polymer chain backbone, wherein (i) the polyurethane additive further comprises polyurethane polymer chains including second segments having a polysiloxane group of Mw less than about 6,000 either pendant to the polyurethane polymer backbone or a part of the polyurethane polymer backbone or (ii) the composition further comprises a polysiloxane polymer additive of Mw of less than about 6,000 which is not pendant to a polyurethane polymer backbone or a part of a polyurethane polymer backbone. The polyurethane additive has a Mw of at least 10,000 and a sufficient number of acid groups to provide an acid number greater than 20.

摘要: System, methods, and computer-readable media for providing a gesture-controlled user interface in interacting with a communication device are provided. Embodiments of the present invention include a communication device that recognizes a gesture made by a person that has one or more transducers attached to their hand. The gesture is recognized by performing calculations on the sound waves received from the one or more transducers. In addition, the gesture may be recognized using a digital camera and image recognition techniques. In one embodiment, the gesture is recognized using an echolocation system that transmits ultrasonic waves and captures the waves reflected off the object making the gesture. In another embodiment, the gesture is made and interpreted in relation to a user interface that is projected from the communication device using a laser projector.
