摘要: Optical interfaces that may be employed between large-core optical fibers and chip-scale optoelectronic devices. Described herein are couplers that improve the tolerance of misalignment when a single mode (SM) fiber is used as waveguide input. This enables the possibility of passive/automatic alignment and therefore reduces the production cost. The coupler also serves as a spot-size converter that reduces the spot size and is suitable for applications where a waveguide mode with small cross-section area is of particular importance. One such example can be a waveguide-based SiGe or III-V semiconductor photodetector in which the vertical size of its waveguide mode should be as small as few microns.

摘要: Embodiments of a method and system provide a rule based user interface control for a software application. At configuration time of an installed software application, the method may provide a design-time environment for defining a rule for a UI element to be displayed in the software application. The rule may affect a value of a property of the UI element and may be persisted in a rule engine. Then at runtime, upon receiving from the software application a request to determine the value of the property, the method may retrieve the rule from the rule engine by a runtime service, evaluate the rule to determine the value for the property and set the value for the property according to the evaluated rule. The set value for the property may be returned to the software application for displaying the UI element.

摘要: Embodiments of the invention provide optical lenses comprised of layers of material each having a different index of refraction from that of the other layers wherein the layers of material are arranged in order of increasing index of refraction. The lens region is capable of causing an optical beam that enters the lens region to be focused into an output beam that is smaller in at least one dimension. A waveguide is optically coupled to the optical lens and a photodetector is optically coupled to the waveguide. The optical lens is capable of being manufactured using semiconductor processing techniques and is capable of being integrated into an integrated circuit chip.

The integrated circuit can further include a transimpedance amplifier (TIA) receiving an output from the phototransistor. The phototransistor and the TIA can be built on a silicon substrate.

摘要: A keypad lifting mechanism includes a fixing board, a first board, a guiding frame and a second board. Two stopping members are fixed on the fixing board. The first board is slidable relative to the fixing board. A plurality of wedges are formed on the guiding frame. The second board includes a plurality of protrusions. The second board slides up or down relative to the first board by engagement of the protrusions of the second board and the wedges of the first board. When the first board is moved relative to the fixing board, the guiding frame is stopped by the stopping members and the second board moving relative to the guiding frame so as to move up or down the second board.

摘要: A keypad lifting mechanism includes a first board, a guiding piece, a second board and a third board. The guiding piece defines a guiding hole. The guiding hole includes a transverse end portion. The second board includes at least one protrusion. A guiding post is formed on the second board for engaging in the guiding hole of the guiding piece. The third board includes at least one slope corresponding to the at least one protrusion. When the guiding piece is pushed away from the third board, the guiding post slides along the guiding hole of the guiding piece. The second board moves with the guiding piece when the guiding post reaching the transverse end portion of the guiding hole. The third board is raised by the at least one slope sliding up along the at least one protrusion of the second board.
