An amplifying circuit includes a reference voltage generating circuit, a common-mode voltage conversion circuit, a common-mode negative feedback circuit, and an amplifying sub-circuit. The reference voltage generating circuit generates a first reference voltage, a second reference voltage, and a reference common-mode voltage according to a post-stage common-mode voltage. The common-mode voltage conversion circuit converts the pre-stage output differential signal into a differential input signal according to the reference common-mode voltage. The common-mode negative feedback circuit generates a control voltage to quickly establish a common-mode negative feedback of the amplifying sub-circuit, wherein the first reference voltage and the second reference voltage are used to cancel a baseline signal of the pre-stage output differential signal. The amplifying circuit can eliminate the baseline signal, convert the common-mode voltage and quickly establish the common-mode negative feedback.

A bias circuit is adapted for biasing a to-be-biased transconductance cell such that the to-be-biased transconductance cell has a constant transconductance, and includes a converter and a controller. The converter receives first and second current signals, and generates, based on the first and second current signals, a first voltage signal, a second voltage signal and a bias voltage that is for biasing the to-be-biased transconductance cell. The controller receives the first and second voltage signals from the converter, generates the first and second current signals for the converter based on the first and second voltage signals so as to make a magnitude of the first voltage signal equal a magnitude of the second voltage signal.

A wideband highly-linear buffer circuit exhibiting a low output impedance comprises a first PFET (PFET1), a second PFET (PFET2), a first NFET (NFET1), and a second NFET (NFET2). Sources of PFET1 and PFET2 are coupled to VDD. PFET1's drain is coupled to an output lead. PFET2 acts as a current source. NFET1's drain is coupled to PFET2's drain and to PFET1's gate. NFET1's source is coupled to the output lead. NFET2's source is coupled to ground. NFET2's drain is coupled to NFET1's source and to the output lead. NFET1's gate is AC coupled to a first input lead. In a single-ended input example, NFET2's gate is AC coupled NFET1's drain. In a differential input example, NFET2's gate is AC coupled to a second input lead. In another differential input example, PFET2 is not just a current source, but rather PFET2's gate is AC coupled to the first input lead.

An audio system that reduces or eliminates click and pop noise during power up and power down operations. In particular, the audio system includes an amplifier with an input adapted to receive an input audio signal and an output adapted to produce an amplified output audio signal for an associated speaker. The audio system further includes a noise reduction circuit adapted to smoothly apply and remove a DC voltage to and from the output of the amplifier in a manner that reduces or eliminates click and pop noise from being generated by the associated speaker. The DC voltage at the output of the amplifier may be derived from a DC reference voltage source and/or from the input audio signal.

A multiple transistor differential amplifier is implemented on a segment of a single graphene nanoribbon. Differential amplifier field effect transistors are formed on the graphene nanoribbon from a first group of electrical conductors in contact with the graphene nanoribbon and a second group of electrical conductors insulated from, but exerting electric fields on, the graphene nanoribbon thereby forming the gates of the field effect transistors. A transistor in one portion of the graphene nanoribbon and a transistor in another portion of the graphene nanoribbon are responsive to respective incoming electrical signals. A current source, also formed on the graphene nanoribbon, is connected with the differential amplifier, and the current source and the differential amplifier operating together generate an outgoing signal responsive to the incoming electrical signal. In an example application, the resulting circuit can be used to interface with electrical signals of nanoscale sensors and actuators.

A current-to-voltage converter for providing a voltage signal based on a current signal has a first active stage having an input and an output. The first active stage is configured to receive the current signal at its input and provide the voltage signal at its output. In addition, the current-to-voltage converter has a second active stage that is coupled between the output of the first active stage and the input of the first active stage. The second active stage is configured to provide the input of the first active stage with a feedback signal that frequency-selectively counteracts amplification, by the first active stage, of signal components of a current signal applied to the input of the first active stage that have a frequency outside of a prescribed useful frequency band.
