Abstract:
This invention relates to electroluminescent metal complexes of the formula (I), or (II), a process for their preparation, electronic devices comprising the metal complexes and their use in electronic devices, especially organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs), as oxygen sensitive indicators, as phosphorescent indicators in bioassays, and as catalysts.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a fuel tank for a motor vehicle, comprising at least one venting device which is connected to a fuel vapor filter, wherein the venting device includes at least one collecting container for receiving liquid fuel. The fuel tank is distinguished in that disposed within the collecting container is a delivery pump for emptying it into the delivery volume of the fuel tank.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to polypeptides having alpha-amylase activity and polynucleotides having a nucleotide sequence which encodes for the polypeptides. The invention also relates to a polypeptide having carbohydrate-binding affinity and polynucleotides having a nucleotide sequence which encodes for the polypeptides. The invention also relates to nucleic acid constructs, vectors, and host cells comprising the nucleic acid constructs as well as methods for producing and using the polypeptides.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to novel polymers comprising a repeating unit(s) of the formula (I) wherein at least one of the substituents R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6 and R7 is a group -(Sp)x1-HEI, wherein Sp is a spacer unit, HEI is a group (HEII), which increases the hole-injection and/or hole-transport properties of the polymers; or a group (HEIII), which increases the electron-injection and/or electron-transport properties of the polymers, or a group (HEIIII), which increases the hole-injection and/or hole-transport properties of the polymers and the electron-injection and/or electron-transport properties of the polymers, x1 is 0, or 1, and their use in electronic devices. The polymers according to the invention have excellent solubility in organic solvents and excellent film-forming properties. In addition, high charge carrier mobilities and high temperature stability of the emission color can be observed, if the polymers according to the invention are used in polymer light emitting diodes (PLEDs).
Abstract:
The inventors have identified polypeptides having lipase activity in anaerobic thermo-philic bacteria. Accordingly, the invention provides a process for hydrolyzing an ester bond in a substrate, which comprises treating the substrate with a particular lipase (a polypeptide having lipase activity). The invention also provides a lipase for use in the process and a polynucleo-tide encoding the lipase.
