Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a protective coating composition for a hard surface, wherein the composition comprises an organic solvent and a polysiloxane having the general formula (I), wherein: R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7 and R8 are independently an alkyl group having from 1 to 8 carbon atoms; Y and Z are independently a divalent linking group selected from the group consisting of urea, urethane, oxygen atom, sulfur atom and alkylene having from 1 to 8 carbon atoms; A, B, L and M are independently a divalent slinking group selected from the group consisting of alkylene having from 1 to 8 carbon atoms, with the proviso that if the combined linking groups formed by -A-Y-L- and -M-Z—B— are independently an alkylene, then the alkylene is independently different from ethylene; n is an integer from 5 to 1500; and m and p are independently an integer from 1 to 3. In another aspect, the present disclosure is directed to a method of reducing contamination from a hard surface.

Abstract: Anti-icing stacks for protecting an aerodynamic surface are described. In some embodiments, an anti-icing stack includes an anti-icing layer, an elastomeric erosion protection layer, and an additional layer. The erosion protection layer is disposed between the anti-icing layer and the additional layer. The additional layer has a thickness greater than the thickness of the erosion protection layer and a tensile modulus of no more than the tensile modulus of the erosion protection layer. The additional layer may be a foam adhesive layer.

Abstract: A three dimensional flame barrier is described herein. The three dimensional flame barrier comprises a flame resistant material, wherein the flame resistant barrier has a complex geometry that is defined by a height, width and length, wherein the height of the complex geometry is substantially greater than the thickness of the flame resistant material from which it is formed wherein the flame resistant material comprises inorganic fibers, inorganic particles and an inorganic binder. In some embodiments, the flame barrier article can further comprise a fire protection coating disposed on a first major surface of the flame barrier material.
