摘要: Crosslinked (meth)acrylate-based pressure sensitive adhesives are capable of attachment to mammalian skin for at least 10 days. The crosslinked adhesive composition includes a crosslinked (meth)acrylate-based copolymer free from polar groups, and a hydrogenated hydrocarbon tackifier resin. The crosslinked adhesive composition is prepared by photocrosslinking a hot melt processable blend of a (meth)acrylate copolymer and a hydrogenated hydrocarbon tackifier resin. The (meth)acrylate copolymer is the reaction product of an alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer with alkyl groups of 4-22 carbon atoms and are free of polar groups, and a copolymerizable photocrosslinker.

摘要: Stretch-release adhesive articles with tunable mechanical properties are provided. The articles include a stretchable carrier extending along a first direction and including a first major surface and a second major surface opposite the first major surface. At least one of the first and second major surfaces of the stretchable carrier is a stretch-releasable adhesive surface, and the stretchable carrier includes a pattern of slits distributed thereon and configured to deform upon a stretch on the stretchable carrier to elongate the stretchable carrier.

摘要: Transfer tape articles are suitable for preparing dry electrodes. The transfer tape articles include a release liner and a conductive transfer tape layer adjacent to the release liner. The conductive transfer tape layer includes a layer of adhesive and a discontinuous layer of electrically conductive shaped particles, where the shaped particles have at least one point. The adhesive envelopes the conductive particles, and at least one point of the electrically conductive particles protrudes from the conductive transfer tape layer. The conductive transfer tape layer can be a single layer of adhesive or a multi-layer construction including a first adhesive layer, a support layer, and a second adhesive layer.

摘要: The disclosed film backing has a multilayer extensible substrate with a securing adhesive that can secure to a surface and a tab to stretch the extensible substrate to remove the securing adhesive from the underlying surface. Stretching the extensible substrate will easily release the adhesive from the underlying surface. Therefore, a strong adhesive can be used. The multilayer extensible substrate includes an elastic layer forming the core adjacent to a plastically-deforming layers forming the skin to minimize the elasticity of the overall construction.

The adhesive layer in contact with the mammalian skin is a microstructured surface with channels. At least one channel extends to at least one boundary of the adhesive layer. The microstructured surface is a permanently microstructured surface, such that the channels in the surface of the adhesive layer permit transport of fluid.

The electrode includes a substrate, electrically conductive particles with at least one point, in contact with the substrate, a supporting layer that envelopes the electrically conductive particles with points that protrude from the supporting layer, and an electrical connector. Some electrodes have an electrically conductive substrate, other electrodes have an electrically conductive supporting layer.
