Abstract: A medical device comprising a composition comprising a therapeutically active amount of active agent, a zinc compound, and an array of microneedles. The zinc compound may be selected from the group consisting of zinc, pharmaceutically acceptable salts of zinc, and mixtures thereof. At least a portion of the composition is present as a coating on at least a portion of the microneedles. Methods of delivering a therapeutically active agent to a mammal using compositions of the disclosure are also included.

Abstract: A medical device including an array of microneedles and a coating disposed on or within the microneedles and a method of making such a device are disclosed. The coating includes a peptide therapeutic agent and an amino acid. A method of stabilizing a peptide therapeutic agent with an amino acid on an array of microneedles is also disclosed. In some cases, the peptide therapeutic agent and the amino acid either both have a net positive charge or both have a net negative charge. In some cases, the peptide therapeutic agent is histidine.

Abstract: Crosslinked (meth)acrylate-based pressure sensitive adhesives are capable of attachment to mammalian skin for at least 10 days. The crosslinked adhesive composition includes a crosslinked (meth)acrylate-based copolymer free from polar groups, and a hydrogenated hydrocarbon tackifier resin. The crosslinked adhesive composition is prepared by photocrosslinking a hot melt processable blend of a (meth)acrylate copolymer and a hydrogenated hydrocarbon tackifier resin. The (meth)acrylate copolymer is the reaction product of an alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer with alkyl groups of 4-22 carbon atoms and are free of polar groups, and a copolymerizable photocrosslinker.

Abstract: An adhesive composition is described comprising a polyisobutylene polymer component; and up to 30 wt.-% of at least one aliphatic multifunctional component comprising at least two ethylenically unsaturated groups selected from (meth)acryl or vinyl ether. The monomer comprises a hydrocarbon moiety with greater than 12 contiguous carbon atoms. When the hydrocarbon moiety is branched, the hydrocarbon moiety comprises side chains with at least two carbon atoms. The aliphatic multifunctional component is sufficiently compatible such that crosslinked adhesive composition at a thickness of 20 microns has a haze of less than 3%. Also described are adhesive articles.

The polyisobutylene polymer component has an average weight average molecular weight ranging from 100 g/mole to less than 15,000 g/mole. In some embodiments, the adhesive composition is a pressure sensitive adhesive.
