The articles also include a first primer layer, the first primer layer including a thermoplastic polymeric binder. The first primer layer is positioned between the first surface of the foam layer and the second surface of the first pressure sensitive adhesive layer. Assemblies that include such articles are also disclosed herein.

摘要： Pressure sensitive adhesives are provided comprising an adhesive copolymer which is a copolymer of a set of monomers comprising: a) 41.0-49.0 weight percent of isobornyl acrylate (IBOA); b) 0.0-4.5 weight percent of one or more basic-functional polar monomers comprising a polymerizable double bond; and c) 46.5-58.9 weight percent of one or more alkyl (meth)acrylate monomers, where the alkyl groups are selected from linear and branched alkyl groups comprising 2-12 carbon atoms and branched alkyl groups comprising 13-20 carbon atoms and wherein weight percentages are weight percent of all monofunctional monomers comprising the adhesive copolymer. In another aspect, the present disclosure provides tapes comprising the pressure sensitive adhesive according to the present disclosure. In some embodiments, the tapes are flexographic plate mounting tapes.

摘要： Primer layers for adhesion of a pressure sensitive adhesive material to a substrate are provided. The primer layer comprises a crosslinked polymer. In some embodiments, the primer layer has an atomic nitrogen content of greater than 6 wt %, and in some a ratio of atomic weight percent of oxygen to nitrogen of less than 3.0. In some embodiments the crosslinked polymer is the reaction product of an amine-functional base polymer such as a polyethylenimine (PEI) and a crosslinker, which may be a polyaziridine crosslinker. Also provided are two-layer constructions comprising the primer layer and a substrate layer; and tapes, such as flexographic plate mounting tapes, comprising the two-layer construction and a pressure sensitive adhesive layer.

摘要： There is provided adhesive tapes for mounting flexographic printing plates having a foam substrate and two adhesive layers on either side of the foam substrate, where the adhesive layers may include a polymer component obtainable by free-radical polymerization: a) 50 wt % or greater linear or branched acrylic esters having 2 or more carbon atoms in the alkyl radical, b) 22.5 wt % to 46.5 wt % linear, cyclic or branched acrylic esters having 1 to 20 carbon atoms in the alkyl radical, and c) greater than 3.5 wt % to 27.5 wt % of highly polar vinyl substituted monomers, where the polymer component has a glass transition temperature value of between −22° C. and −7° C. according to the Fox method and based on measurement of the homopolymers of the monomers in (a), (b), and (c) by modulated DSC, and further wherein the polymer component has a solubility parameter between 9.58 (cal/cm2)1/2 and 9.99 (cal/cm2)1/2 according to the Fedors method. In a preferred embodiment, the linear or branched acrylic esters in (a) are selected from at least one of isooctyl acrylate, 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, n-butyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, and combinations thereof; wherein the linear or branched acrylic esters in (b) is isobornyl acrylate; and wherein the highly polar vinyl-substituted monomers in (c) is acrylic acid.
